andycap
Remember when going to the states or a weak league meant your international career was over? Surely we have better than toney at this stage. Delap can he play?
TRon
2 hours ago, Sibierski said: Bowen is shit in truth. He’s been rolled out for England and just sticks out like a sore thumb. Scores goals in Prem, but it’s clear it doesn’t translate well elsewhere and probably why no club has really made a push for him. Doesn't he lack explosive pace? He has good instincts and can strike a ball sweetly, but never seen him giving defenders that much problem getting in behind.
Miggys First Goal
Jordan fucking Henderson, man. Clearly has some dirt on the FA.
mighty__mag
Barnes ahead of Gordon, even Murphy based on stats alone this season could be considered, obviously Tuchel isn't that brave.
SEMTEX
I mean, his squads aren't always going to be the best 23 players. He's just starting the job and calling people up to evaluate them individually and as part of the unit. We're against Andorra. And a Senegal friendly. Hopefully when it gets closer to the WC the squads get more sensible and less Hendersony. We'll see. One I am somewhat surprised at is Bellingham. Isn't he supposed to be having surgery after the CWC. He's obviously going to be in any first choice squad, but do we need to put him through this one? SEMTEX
I just saw the interview with Tuchel where he specifically named Tino (and Wharton et al.) as being in the U21s because there is an U21 tournament coming up and he wants them to be leaders in that group and get tournament experience. Right decision imo.
Hanshithispantz
Henderson is an experienced player you can bring on late in big games to see out a result. Not every player in the squad needs to be some massive young talent, although it's annoying when it's your players getting shafted.
54
For what its worth, and I think it makes sense, the reason Wharton, Tino, Anderson & Delap aren't in this squad is due to the Under 21 European Championships, Tuchel explicably mentioned that them players are going to be senior voices in the dressing room, and that, that experience, in that environment will be more valuable than a friendly and a game against Andorra for the senior team. Sibierski
Think Dan Burn is near nail on to go to World Cup unless he gets injured IMO. Bang in form, Tuchel likes him and if it's between him and Maguire for that LCB experience spot, he's easily ahead.
