So if Sturridge doesn't make it, who would people take in his place? Suppose the options are Rashford and Carroll, but maybe Hodgson will just consider Rooney able to play there and take another midfielder instead. This IMO. Vardys pace would be more of an asset in an advanced role for us imo. Rooney more withdrawn, use his passing & vision for Kane & Vardy. Can switch it up when needed.
