I'm sure he would be in there over Hall too if he was fit. It's no wonder in my 32 years I've seen only a handful of good England games, the decisions and selections are invariably nonsensical and the shirt seems to act as some kind of sedative. For me, Tuchels' squad selections killed any enthusiasm for his appointment before it even began. How can I get excited about a brave new era when we're playing the same tired players in the same vanilla formation, employing the same bland tactics. Was freshening the team up by bringing through a lot of the younger players from the under 21s. He was also playing much more attacking football, and experimented a fair bit with his lineups.
