I don't really like doing this as it's not my style but wanna post about the absolutely phenomenal effort some of the group have gone to in the build up to this final and of course the display itself which will be unveiled on Sunday.

I've been taking somewhat of a back seat on it as I've been to Bergamo seeing Sam Fender tonight and have just been catching up via our WhatsApp and if it hasn't reached social media already it'll be there by mid-morning tomorrow. Scarves on statues all round town and flag displays on the Tyne.

There's been a humongous effort and I'm so proud of all our team (and of course our financial contributors).

I desperately hope the atmosphere is ferocious on Sunday and we lift this cup. It has to be our time some time. Why not this.

Really can't understand anyone who can't get up for it, seeing all the press this week, our captains comments, the buzz of walking up Wembley way...this for me is what sets football apart from any other sport...

Fair play on everyone's effort outstanding...the fans needs to do the same now...

Does anyone know if there is much in Newcastle to see this weekend for kids that is cup final related? Like was that quayside flag display a one off or there for a few days? Trying to think of ways to get my 7 year old involved and if worth taking him anywhere in town

Yeah needs the fans to back it up now on Sunday, everyone needs to create the atmosphere not just go to gawk out of a camera.

The Howay The Lass and We Are United banners are still on the quayside and a few statues around town should still have scarves on them if they haven't been cut down and/or knicked. Other than that nothing other than murals and windows that have been painted I think.
