He needs dropping and some time to get some confidence back, but lets not write off players less than 2 months into the season.  It makes us fans sound ridiculously fickle.

Seems it's flavour of the month to hammer this guy for anything it seems.  Quite pathetic tbh.  He made a bad mistake, get over it.  Elliott made 2-3 serious gaffes last season.

Still ended up player of the season though.

If your captain is indicating to the bench his keeper is a lump of shit, it sends a convincing message most fans are seeing this and it's not a massive over reaction.

Player of the season for a comfortably relegated team. Keepers tend to be busier in those teams and often look good because of it imo.

If Elliott had looked as flappy as Sels has the hipsters would have had an absolute field day.

He has done, that's the whole point. Yet he got Player of the Year? ???

It's been 20 years since we had a keeper that commanded his box properly tbh.  Most of our recent GK's have been planted to the goal line, especially Krul and Elliott.

Given was the worst for this. Sels would be better off being on his line more.

I feel he's under pressure to be dominating his box more.  Rafa traditionally wants a GK like that.

Aye, I think he's being told to command the box and is failing. It's making things worse.

I think he needs to be taken out of the firing line too...but if not the crowd need to get behind him. It's obviously a confidence / settling in issue.

Our fans in recent years seem to have become so detached from what support is. The Sky generation as I like to call them. If they're not Sky fans they're Green Street re-enactors

Any team/player performing badly over long periods of time in a massive stadium is going to have this issue. It happens at Arsenal. It's going to happen to West Ham. But SJP in particular is terrible.

Willo was pap but the crowd ensured he couldn't build any confidence.

Hoping Rafa isn't starting him to justify the transfer, because he's had a while now & the taking of crosses is still very suspect.

In comparison, Darlow has done nothing wrong atall & was probably the most unlucky to lose his place from last season of everyone in the squad. He was growing into the side actually, saving that key penalty & looking far more confident.

Agreed on both counts.

He hasn't like.

Aye, out of all our goalie's Sels has looked the worst after 3-4 games. Elliot & Darlow clearly improved. To the point I didn't consider them weakest links in the team.

Instils no confidence at all, every high ball into the box is a threat.

Watching the West Ham Southampton game, why the fuck did we let Forster go?

He wanted to leave.

Mind lots of people wrote him off after the leeds friendly in 2011.

Was just about o say. He was pretty much written off after a friendly for similar to what Sels has produced.

Same with Darlow at WBA.

Seems to be made of stern stuff. Throwing toys out of the pram because of a few children giving him stick. Needs to grow a pair of balls and hands ASAP or he can f*** off.

Train wreck of a post. People having a go at him on Twitter are fucking idiotic losers. THEY can fuck off.
