Norseman
Good news this. Don't know anything about this kid, but we really need a left back.
Lotus
Everton forum says he's a CB who's playing LB to 'learn the game'. Don't we have Dummet and Clark for that?
Leazes_End_Mag
Mbabu away on loan as soon as this deal is done according to Ryder.

SUPERTOON
Seems a pretty pointless signing if he is a CB who can cover LB. Hopefully he can be good enough at this level and if we manage to get promoted we can bring in an actual LB.
Tooj
Did you not watch him at all last season?
SUPERTOON
Did you not watch him at all last season? No, just basing it on what Everton fans are saying, and the majority seem to suggest he isn't a LB.
Dr Venkman
Whether he's defined as a CB or LB isn't really important; all that matters is we get someone who can defend well in that position and offer a threat going forward.
John P
Caulkin never used to have that much concrete info regarding transfers did he? I wonder why he appears to be the first to know now, didn't he also break the Diame and Clark deals?

No, just basing it on what Everton fans are saying, and the majority seem to suggest he isn't a LB. That maybe true but by all accounts he did great there when Baines was injured so I don't see it as relevant. Most fullbacks don't actually start out as ones anyway, as what they perceived him to be in the youth teams doesn't matter.
Kanji
Hope option to buy is true (and proves himself) great news.
1878
Did you not watch him at all last season? No, just basing it on what Everton fans are saying, and the majority seem to suggest he isn't a LB. He was a centre back for MK Dons but hasn't played many minutes there for us. Although he's comfortable on the ball, he's definitely a defender first and foremost. He was one of our better players for the first half of last season at left back while Baines was injured. Then got dropped like a stone for no apparent reason (which Martinez was fond of doing to players). From our perspective, I don't understand this move at all tbh. Our only cover at left back now is Oviedo, who not only isn't as good as Galloway imo but has legs made of papier mache.

Mole_Toonfan
As long as he's comfortable on the ball that will do me, not really bothered about the attacking side so much but Dummett treats the ball like it's a f***ing grenade. Having someone who isn't like that will help us a lot.

Tiotes Witch Doctor
Ikon will be happy OH YES! I am  Not a fan of loans unless there's an option to buy at a price agreed beforehand. But it's a LB and i can't complain too much. This is better than nothing i'd say. If it gives us a better chance of getting promoted then do it Never seen him but i've read that he's supposed to be highly rated? Is this enough or should we get another one just to be sure? Figures 1-0 Football
If the option to buy piece is true, this is a very good signing. If not, it's still an upgrade on Dummett for a season which will do us good. Mbabu out on loan for his development will be good too. A winger and a striker and we've had an outstanding summer. Tiotes Witch Doctor
Unsure if Rafa will give up on Dummett after one bad championship game mind, can't see Galloway coming straight in to the fold. But we can live in hope.
Budgie Smuggler
Unsure if Rafa will give up on Dummett after one bad championship game mind, can't see Galloway coming straight in to the fold. But we can live in hope. It's not like that was Dummett's first poor game. Now we're the big dogs we will more often than not need to go out and break teams down and that is made far more difficult with a full back who has extremely limited ability on the ball. ujpest doza
How many full backs do we actually need? We have Dummett, Sterry, Anita, Walmart, Jesus, Mbabu, Clark, Haidara. We need a creative and mobile midfielder and a goalscoring centre forward who can hold the ball up. Signing more left backs is Pardewesque.
