Take over whatever club Shildon is playing and do the same you did to Redcar with them. Should see an easy 15+ or 15- goal swing in all required matches. It was doable on CM97, as you could put everyone on the wings and stuff, but I think later editions like 01/02, 03/04, CM4 etc. it was much harder to do. I haven't tried on later editions. UncleBingo
Mate of mine was at the Stan game, reckons the ref sent Hopper for jumping for a header and then continued to make terrible decisions all through the first half. He then sent the keeper off for swearing at half time. Backs agaisnt the wall now, massive weekend awaits.

Optimistic Nut
Brilliant win for Gateshead away at Forest Green the other night. Hopefully going into the Play-Offs with some form after that massive dip.

Winners of each then away to York and FGR.

Big Geordie
Blyth lost 3-2 away at the weekend. Got to be months since their last win.
Paullow
Good news for Heaton, Consett and Ashington. Brighouse have been docked 3 points for fielding an ineligible player and subsequently drop into the final relegation spot.

Paullow Posted Friday at 12:58 Share Posted Friday at 12:58 (edited) Some interesting matches in local non league later today. Nat. North Darlington vs South Shields, 3pm - bit of a nothing match, both sides staying up, Shields season totally done, and far too much for Darlington to do in terms of the playoffs, and without looking at other fixtures, it may well be mathematically impossible if other chasing teams are playing each other Spennymoor vs Scarborough, 3pm - Scarborough's season is done, Spennymoor will have to keep winning and hope it's enough to sneak into the playoffs. Spenny will probably need 9 points from final 3 games to have any chance. NPL East Sheffield vs Ashington, 2pm - Sheffield already down so a great opportunity for Ashington to pull further clear of the final relegation spot. Heaton vs Liversedge, 3pm - Liversedge were down, but Brighouse being docked 3 points has given them a tiny chance of survival, but they are 7 behind with 3 games to go. Like Ashington, a great chance for Heaton to pull clear ahead of their big meeting with Ashington on Easter Monday. Ossett vs Consett, 3pm - 15th vs 14th and only 1 point between them. They would have been 2 and 3 points respectively clear of the drop zone, but the Brighouse situation means it 4 and 5, so a bit more breathing room. Paullow Posted Friday at 13:15 Share Posted Friday at 13:15 York now lead Gateshead 2-1. Putting a bit of pressure on Barnet who play at 5.30pm.
54 Posted Friday at 14:42 Share Posted Friday at 14:42 Massive game week in the National League South today, the top 4 are separated by 3 points and going into the day it was 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd: (1st) Truro vs Torquay (4th) (3rd) Eastborne vs Worthing (2nd) Currently Worthing are ahead and go top as the Truro game is still 0-0, but Worthing are down to ten men. Dorking are also currently 4-0 up, which means they jump to 3rd. Absolutely crazy tight division.

Paullow Posted Friday at 15:04 Share Posted Friday at 15:04 Finished 2-2. Better than it could have been, but still a poor result given Aheffield are bottom, already relegated and had lost 5 or 6 in a row. Still, could be a crucial point come 2 games time. Paullow Posted Friday at 16:17 Share Posted Friday at 16:17 Big wins for Consett and Heaton, the former look pretty safe now, would take an extraordinary set of results for them to drop. Ashington vs Heaton could still be a big game, mainly depending on how Brighouse got on at Bishop Auckland tomorrow.

Paullow Posted Saturday at 16:08 Share Posted Saturday at 16:08 What's happened to Hebburn @Paully? Another defeat today. Lost any players / staff, or just starting to find the level above tough and possibly being found out? The great start probably wasn't sustainable, but I think it's like 1 win and 6 draws from their last 17 matches and they are now adjacent to the relegation zone. Matlock need to win both of their matches, but if they do, then you'd probably fear the worst. Stockton could only draw with Morpeth in front of 1250 and now drop from 3rd to 4th, playoff secured, but will have their semi final away, as it stands. Hebburn vs Stockton on Easter Monday. Matlock are away to Ilkeston on Monday, who are still chasing the final playoff place, and they will be down unless they take all 3 points.
Paullow Posted Saturday at 16:19 Share Posted Saturday at 16:19 Consett are officially safe in tier 8 with Brighouse losing today (as are Bishop Auckland, who beat Brighouse). Ashington vs Heaton on Monday feels a little less important now. A win for either would guarantee safety, but looking at GD, a draw would probably suit both. MagPar Posted Saturday at 17:24 Share Posted Saturday at 17:24 Thanks to the people that docked Hamilton Academical 15 point on Thursday for their owners being very naughty boys. They were relegated today. Shame for their fans but worse happened to us (Dunfermline Athletic) about 15 years ago when we went into administration and were sent to the lowest league as punishment (around the same time as Rangers) with every other team laughing at us. At least I'm not laughing at them. This world suffers from a lack of empathy. As of today,we are pretty much safe barring a massive mathematical turnaround in the last 2 games. Onwards and upwards for my Scottish team. 🥳 🎉 🪅 🎊 🍺 🍻

Paullow
Looks like Matlock are going to be docked 3 points, in which case that would be them relegated with 2 games to spare meaning Hebburn, Whitby (and Workington) will still be playing step 3 football next season.
