South Shields won 1-0. Better in the second half, but a very nervy end, Buxton with another goal ruled out towards the end, hit the inside of the post, and then had one cleared off the line.

They are at home to Kidderminster in the final next Saturday.

Come on Kidderminster.

Alnwick Town new management team is Andy Waugh manager and Scott Oliver assist.  Andy Waugh most recently at Burradon New Fordley who were always a nightmare to play against and a really good team albeit one happy to stay in the Alliance, and Scott Oliver been at Hebburn and Jarrow in the past.  Pretty happy with the appointments, but wondering if they'll bring any players with them as managers tend to do. We have the core of a good local side, hopefully the lads who finished the season well can be kept involved

Who are the two coming down? With the backing they get they should be going up.

Harrogate - will likely get mid table at best. They've been recruiting from lower leagues anyway so no real change. Barrowcelona - no idea.

Fair chance Barrow will not be doing anything of note either. League might be wide open for a change.

Barrow have been handicapped by having a board worse than Forest's. So many poor managerial appointments. They made a scout, Iain Wood, Sporting Director, and since then they've stumbled from one horrific managerial appointment to another.

They've only themselves to blame for getting relegated.

Worst part is they got new owners in around December 2023, from America, when they were in League One with the intention of Championship football, back to back relegations followed and now another year in non league. The owners mean well and have done a lot of good things to the ground, and there's no real heat on them, it's not like they are chancers or anything, but I bet they wish they never clapped eyes on the club [emoji38]

Last time they went down they came up straightaway through the playoffs so this will be their longest spell in non league since getting elected in 1928.

Effectively a title decider in the Northern Alliance Premier tomorrow night, Burradon vs Cramlington United, although neither side will be getting promoted. Cramlington applied for promotion, but they have put that on hold for a year while they do stuff to the ground.

They'll both have one more match after this, and Burradon's is a lot easier on paper, but both do win most weeks, so whoever does come out on top will be big favourites for the title. Burradon kind of just need a point as their final match is an effective bye.

My brothers son plays from Cram Utd juniors and he sometimes watches their match after the boys training. I wouldn't have minded going with them, but the lad is actually on a football trip with the club so won't be back in time.

Where's it at? Blue Flames or SJP, or somewhere completely different? Newcastle Bairns didn't enter this year as I recall so not sure if SJP was ever on the cards

SJP, cash only on the door oddly.

Probably make a late call tomorrow whether to go or not. Would be a nice way to finish off my season given it was the first game I went to this season as well.

I would have gone if I wasn't 200 miles and a ferry journey away. Fucking fairweather nonleague fan that I am

Not complaining as I've paid countless £10's and even £6 to get into Prudhoe a couple of times this season, but for some reason I thought it was going to be like £3 or something, like when you would watch a Newcastle Youth Cup match there back in the day. I was pretty shocked when I saw £8 [emoji38]. Makes sense in line with other prices at that level, and you've obviously got the ground as well, but I did have to do a double take when seeing the prices.

I'll be heading along.

Some nice shithousery there from Bedford Town [emoji38].

Spalding beat the other Bedford team in the playoff final today (Real Bedford, as in the Madrid team). Real are owned by bit coin podcasters and have big investment. There were talks to merge the clubs a while ago, but that didn't go through. Doesn't seem like there is much love lost from Town's perspective, ha.

Watched a video about Real Bedford a while back and it seemed like the most unnecessary of pursuits. They weirdly have or had a coffee shop in the town centre n all as part of it.

I'm not really feeling the match tonight. I've not actually been to SJP this season so that's pretty much the only reason tempting me to go. It is a bit crap how Heaton only played 2 matches, including one against a step 6 side last time out and are now back in the final. They should run with 16 teams, even if that means getting some of the top end Alliance sides in like Burradon (who did win the league last night), Cramlington Utd, Wallington etc. even if it was largely to make up the numbers. Most of those better step 7 sides would likely beat Prudhoe anyway. Just feels a bit naff winning 2 matches and then back at SJP.

I'll probably wait to see how the weather is looking and how I'm feeling around 6pm before making a decision. Probably just as well it was only pay on the gate.

I agree it would be better but I think given the fixtures are midweek and start in September it would be difficult for Alliance teams to host games.

Bay win the Senior Cup 6-5 on pens after it finished 1-1.

First bit of silverware since 2011 if I'm not mistaken!

HOWAY THE BAY!
