Flip Posted December 1, 2016 Share Posted December 1, 2016 Is it true the plane ran out of fuel or did the pilot ditch the fuel before attempting a controlled crash landing? Its going to be even worse if it was a case of not enough fuel to complete the journey. As of right now there's nothing suggesting it was attempting a controlled crash landing. The son of one of the pilot says they didn't stop to re-fuel because of delay while other says it's the way this company operates to save money. Bimpy474 Posted December 1, 2016 Share Posted December 1, 2016 Unsure about the avaition laws in South America, but i think in Europe and the USA, all planes have to carry enough fuel to get to their alternate airport if the airport they are travelling to is unavailable, because of bad weather, accidents etc. Speaking at the same news conference, civil aviation official Freddy Bonilla said regulations stipulated that aircraft must have 30 minutes of extra fuel in reserve so as to be able to reach an alternative airport in an emergency Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jackson Follman the goalkeeper doesn't seem in need of a second amputation while Neto's father has said that the medical staff has told him his son will recover and could possibly return to football as well. The other two Brazilians (one journalist and one player) are still in intensive care but in stable conditions with Alan the player no longer in risk of tetraplagia. As for the two crew members from Bolivia, they've seemed to have escaped with lesser injuries and should also recover well. Saw a quote from one of the crew members say that he was one of the few in the brace position whilst most passengers were out of their chairs in fear and panic. A lot of the PL Brazilians played in the same team or against the some of the players that passed away. See City wearing warm up shirts with Chapecoenses logo. It's a Brazilian social media campaign started by some fans who wants to see both at Chapecoense to help them raise funds. Ronaldinho and his brother (his agent) has said they are willing to help the club the best they can, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll come out of retirement to play for them. I do think if they did get exempt from relegation for three years, it'd be nice to see some of these legends in football playing for them. But for now I don't see anything suggesting he has said he'll play for them or Riquelme either. The funeral mass they held at their stadium yesterday was beautiful and sad at the same time. Rain was pouring down in huge amount and I can't imagine the emotions running through friends and family who were there.
