We literally won the game in the first 20 minutes. You improved and where unable to amount any type of comeback.

Depends how you want to look at it. You were incredible that opening 20 minutes, but felt the rest of the game was very competitive and we should have scored at least two with those chances, especially Casemiro's one.

Still think Tonali's shot that hit the post could have been one of the goals of the season. Properly tore us apart there.

Garnacho - one of the best returns from an under 21 player in world football
Casemiro - has been brilliant
Ugarte - has offered the protection to Casemiro that's allowed him to be so brilliant
Diallo - class
Fake Bruno - best midfielder in the league

I've not looked at the table in ages but assume ManU are doing really well.  Hopefully we aren't too far behind them

Unfortunately Manchester United have been focusing on the Europa League final all season, and this has seen them slip to 16th in the premier league.

It's Rashford's fault.

Amorim having a lower points-per-game tally in the PL than Paul Jewell (which included 24 games with that Derby County side) is quite something.

He's the reason, imo. Collectively, Man Utd's players have a lot more in them than a 17th place finish.

What was Jewell's record in Europe that season? :pardsbeard:

Garnacho - that's just a fact? How many players under 21 have more than 21 goal involvements this season?

Casemiro - has been brilliant in Europe. I said he's been much, much better in the league since Amorim brought him properly into the team, which wasn't until the start of the year

Ugarte - aye that's true. He's defensive player and he does the dog work that Casemiro isn't capable of anymore.

Amad - anyone who doesn't think he's quality is an idiot, and he's been injured for a large part of the season

The only Bruno - I don't need to talk about him. He's spent half the season playing as a deep midfielder and has more goal contributions than your crown jewel striker

Also mate don't be silly, we're not doing well in the league. We have a keeper who throws goals in, we have a CB collection that can't stay fit, we have wing backs who are shit and a striker who doesn't score goals. Two managers, two new systems, European football to deal with etc. etc.

We'll see you next season son. The ghost of Fergie will spur us on.

[emoji38] I'm just taking the piss man.  FWIW I think your squad is way better than 16th.  Your new manager has done a fucking diabolical job so far

He did inherit a shit show, has changed system mid-season and his only signing so far is a 20 year old from Serie A. Need to give him time. There's lots of moving parts and it's a big summer.

If our current league form carries into next season he'd be gone by Christmas with or without a trophy.

I would definitely keep Amorim now. They do seem like they’re trying and he needs to be given a chance to sort out the personnel.

Of course just judging on points he would be sacked. But then you’d be starting from scratch yet again.

They stayed up, that’s something.

Obviously you can't continue with form like 2 points in your last 24. But it will improve.

Patience is all it takes and we have plenty of it. Every fan I know has complete trust in Amorim.

I mean he's better than Ugarte. but you should probably be aiming a bit higher

Just compared their stats. I did not realise Longstaff was that bad.

I take it you don't know anyone on Redcafe then? [emoji38]

I looked on there after your latest defeat and at least 90% on there wanted him gone

Think of a poster you know on here that has the worst opinions possible on a weekly basis (excluding me). RedCafe is just hundreds of those but with Man United instead of Newcastle. It is a cesspit.

The support for Amorim is actually incredible from genuine fans.

You gonna stand for this, @Big River? No need and totally unprovoked.

Fair enough [emoji38].  I assumed you'd have been a poster on there

I was a bit surprised tbh.  Thought it might have been around 50/50 but almost everyone was saying he has to go even if you win the final

Crushes most wingers on assists??

Hes terrible in defence, but he offers a lot going forward.

Since 2018, he's been 8th in assists, with 64 in the top 5 leagues. That's more than anyone at Madrid during that time; only Messi has more in the whole Spanish league. In the EPL, only De Bruyne and Salah have more. So yes he crushes 95% of wingers in assists.

Trent is elite.

Oh no no you need the eye test mate. Stats are bollocks. You’ll be getting a world beater. Shall we say £50m?
