Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

Recommended Posts

I do wonder whether all this simply comes down to proof of funds. On at least two separate occasions over the years we've heard that Ashley demands proposed buyers to put up some actual cash before taking things any further. Why he would expect this to be entertained I'm not quite sure, but if it's his way of doing things then maybe it's as simple as that. AS has submitted bids, but Ashley doesn't believe they're genuine?

But quite simply he hasn’t seen proof that the money is in place and has effectively pulled the plug until that situation changes.

Low balling bids & stupid clauses were never going to be acceptable to the fat man, no matter fair or reasonable anyone thinks they may be.

I heard that Ashley's PR machine, and his goon squad, were serving glasses of Kool-Aid and sandwiches brushed with fecal paste just the other day.

That post confirms the rumor.

Edit: and his goon squad at Sky

So in your own words a "fair or reasonable" bid is made yet she's a time waster of Barry Moat proportions because Mike Ashley doesn't have the common decency to respond? So your business experitse is essentially throw way more money over and above the valuation of the asset. No wonder the fans can't push for change, when there's still knackers who take Ashley's side.

Ashley's goon squad (in the press) must have dished up grape flavoured Kool-Aid, to wash down the s*** sandwiches. It's the tested & proven flavour used by serial bullshit artists and brainwashers.

I think Staveley, from her past record, has a genuine interest in football, and probably isn't trying to get into it just for a fast buck.

But it would stand to reason that she has difficulty in raising the funds. PCP isn't a consortium, or even a managed fund. It acts as a broker to fix deals, and I can well believe that she'd struggle to find investors to buy a business for £250m, when the value of that business might plummet to £100m or even less, based on the results of 15 football matches.

I still think this whole episode is just a stalling tactic until Ashley finds out the true value of the next TV deal so he can bump the price up a few million

think it's best to park it up, get behind the team and pray we stay up.

then in the summer hopefully it happens. O0

When Rafa walks , Ashley brings in a PFM and the cycle starts again irrespective of whst League we're in.

Fuck that. Time to start showing the fat bastard we want him out whilst supporting the manager and his  players.

Got to love the fucking brass balls on the cunt. Whinging about things 'playing out in the media' when they absolutely didn't aside from HIM putting the club up for sale through a Sky interview, then HIM informing us and PCP that the deal was off via Sky.

Nee fucker backs the team anyway. 90 minutes of vitriol directed at the owner would be better for the team than the 90 minutes of moans and groans every time a pass is misplaced.

Rafa is not the football club and for all the support the club is still under the same perilous situation with f*** all progress. The most important thing has and always will be is to get this c*** out of the football club to give the slightest chance of progression. Until that happens you can put any manager in charge and f*** all will happen.

Rafa has already said he sees us as a project and he has plans to change the football side of the club from top to bottom he needs investment to do it, so as we have all seen he is currently just papering over the cracks

Neil Curtis (Sun) is saying the rights things about both Amanda and us. Only thing he does say that some might not agree with is that NUFC is worth £350m without the clauses and that she should just pay up, though he does go on to add to just get Ashley out of the club.

Here's an idea staveley puts up a few hundred million for a certain percent of the club, buys all our new players then pay's the rest on completion

Once she buys a certain percent then by city regulations she is required to make a bid for the remaining percent (think there is even some sort of rule on the remaining shareholders being required to sell).
