My mate went today and apparently Toon fans were in fine voice singing sign on/feed the scousers etc. He volunteers at our own food bank as well. A number of younger fans were acting like bellends in some of the local pubs apparently too. Seems there is nowt good about our club right now with the support as lifting as the team. Crash and burn please.

Doesn't surprise me, heard it a few times on TV.  The younger / LAD part of our support is utterly abysmal and one reason I don't go to away games at all now.

embarrassing chant

Most are tbf by most clubs at most matches

Massively ironic anyone from the North East singing it

How come, explain.

Newcastle has the biggest foodbank in the UK for starters.

Seriously? A lot of North East families rely massively on food banks to survive.

Only heard the feed the scousers once very briefly and seen nowt on social media in regards to bother.

Can’t comment as I wasn’t there, but my mate said the chants got sang a few times and loud. Regardless it’s kind of depressing given statistically Newcastle ranks high in the stats department when it comes to crime, poverty, homelessness, literacy, unemployment etc.

I do believe we have the biggest food bank in England as well or the highest number of people who use them.

embarrassing chant

Very, it's horrid, as is any of the other chants laughing at poverty.

Soft shites  It’s been a staple song against the scousers since the 80’s at least. Liverpool Slums is probably the better chant out of the two TBF.

It makes no sense when we're just as worse off as they are as a region

Personally think it’s outdated, moronic and shows us in a bad light, no different to chanting about Hillsborough, Heysel or Munich IMO. It’s tasteless and mocks real human suffering.

I wouldn’t mind myself, but when Ashley rocks up at SJP without even a hint of abuse it kind of makes me cringe even more.

In the current climate, it's a pathetic chant and is a slap in the face for the workers of NUFC Foodbank who do lots of vital work.

Whenever Everton or Liverpool play up here their fans always donate generously to our food bank.

Yeap.  I'd bet those who chanted have never donated to the bank at all.
