Stifler
I think people are mistaken that VAR will turnover most decisions, it won't from what I've seen of it in europe. It won’t. I have said it before, at the end of the day there is a orrout referee in front of the TV who has been told to sway games a certain way by the same people who have told the referee on the pitch to sway games a certain way. Add on the fact that they always protect each other even once they have left the job, and it’s even more obvious that it won’t change anything. The blame will just be removed from the referee on the pitch to the man behind the TV who will likely not even be named.
Guest
It seems like there is one rule for Newcastle and another for the rest of the league tbh. We get barely any pens, nee reds against us for years, we have situations like that where the ref plays until the other team scores despite being beyond the allocated time even with the sub factored in and a perfect opportunity to blow the whistle well before he did, but inexplicably playing on instead. And finally the challenge on the keeper - it's a running joke in this league that you can't go near the keeper, you most certainly can't put your hands over him like Boly did - it gets given as a foul whether it's a foul or not because it's too vital a call to get wrong basically. But nah it's Newcastle so fuck em. The run of decisions we've had against us this season is beyond a fucking joke to the point of blatant bias with no fucking consequences for anyone. Bring on VAR, not saying it necessarily affects matters this evening but we are getting fucked over time and time again, and can't do any worse out of it than we are currently. It was the same in the two relegation seasons too. I’m thinking Beye red-card v Man City which cost us a win, Viduka’s disallowed goal v Fulham, Aguero offside goal when we drew 1-1 off the top of my head. We get no decisions in our favour like that, if the ref had done their job correctly in those three instances, as shit as we were, we still stay up. Stifler
If things even out over the course of a season then we are due 47 penalties, 10 red cards against the opppsition, 9 goals that should have been disallowed, and 20 minutes of underserved stoppage time. Going to end up in the Europa League with those points.

Nobody
If that's the other end, this place is up in arms if it gets disallowed. Subjective decision and can't use stills as justification for it, in real time it looks fine imo. Like f***. All the talk is about how s**** we've been in the second half, Rafa not being brave enough to start Almiron, and how those get called a foul 99% of the time. Your the snowflake who said almiron wouldn't come on. The fuck are you on about? No doubt that Almiron would come on.

Big Geordie
I would have settled for a point beforehand, given Wolves’ form but for it to end like that is a kick in the balls. Was it a foul? Maybe - but if Dubs goes to punch, it doesn’t happen and we win the game. On the plus side - we look really solid defensively - Longstaff was fantastic and Almiron looks like he could be a real threat going forwards. Next two home games are crucial. How many other pens have we not had given? Burnley didn't get a penalty for ages either, was that a conspiracy? Or is it the fact that neither us or Burnley spend large parts of the game in of around the box, or have fast, skillful attackers who are trying to beat players in the box? Or is it because everyone's against us because we're Newcastle?

Overturns 67% or something like that in Spain (or Italy.. can't remember tbh I posted it in the VAR topic the other day) edit Ligue 1, in fact VAR has corrected 55 mistakes out of 82 (67%) in Ligue 1 so far this season. Thanks to the new technology, the overall number of fouls is going down (-7%), as well as the number of cards (-17% for yellow cards and -4% for red cards).
