The club have told my Dad they won't give him his money back (he paid for the year in advance) as he missed the deadline at the end of June. Anything he can do?

Go direct to his bank and ask for a charge back.

If it is via direct debit then this is also an option.

https://www.directdebit.co.uk/DirectDebitExplained/Pages/Howtoclaim.aspx

If either fail, threaten the club to go to Trading Standards.

It's a huge difference though, £40 million !!

Taxes, all other club staff including youth, bonuses and a few first team players missing etc.

Yeah there's another 200 club staff including management/coaching to add on. With player bonuses etc the 80m is more likely. No idea about the 20m increase....Brucey buyout to Wednesday maybe? Agent fees, player sign-ons - JLs extra costs would have been chunky etc. No idea where they sit in the accounts though

Auditors would have had a look at that mind you as does stand out

This is the year we signed ASM, Carroll, Joelinton etc so it'll be their wages.

Ah yeah, forgot ASM and Carroll. They'll all explain the bulk of the year on year increase

Thought Charnley was furloughed? If so, that means as this includes 3 months of that he’s on even more.

Wages are still shown as full costs with the furlough scheme showing as separate income, so assume that's his full salary.

Charnley's salary has trebled (keep in mind up to July 2020)

Ashley can fuck off like trying to say our wage bill is 121 million. That's exactly where he's pulling money out the club and hiding it behind "wages"

It’s mental. tea boy’s done good. He’ll be the only person wishing the takeover doesn’t go through as he’ll  have to go back to an office junior job somewhere. Actually he’s probably the fucker scuppering it the devious little twat.

Our commercial income was higher than Spurs’ just before Ashley bought us but now we’re £160m behind them and we also generate less than Brighton FFS! But, we should be grateful for him apparently!

Ashley has done his level best to minimise our commercial revenue.

imagine paying money to sponsor us when we are run like an amateur outfit and your brand is is advertised next to none entities such as Dunlop and Longsdale.

Don't know enough to say that and it's not just players costs - management and coaching, the 250 other employees. All player bonuses will be included as well - it's not just their basic.

It would be a very odd place to pick to faff with as it's always an area picked by auditors and very easily reviewed.

Yeah but when you consider the players will make up the bulk if the wages over coaches, general staff etc it just seems an incredibly high amount of money.

I could be totally wrong of course but I just can't get away from the fact I think that fat twat if taking money out the club somehow, somewhere. We've never got nothing to spend.
