Is there a way to hide this thread . Going into a self imposed stop completely until April?

The clever clogs will say just don’t click on the thread

Interesting point

If that is the solution, that’s fine, I just wondered if it was possible. Just trying to reduce down vision of bets etc for a period. Very hard though with all the adverts on podcasts and every form of media. But every little helps I guess !

I went on a break last year and had to unfollow a load of tipsters etc because it was enticing me back in. After tonight I am taking a break as well. I have a £5 free bet with Sky and I will put £5 in my Bet365 and try and take a break until March. I may even use the self exclusion tools to support that.

I’d suggest just blocking your betting accounts till a certain date. The tools are there if needed

Yes have Gamstop and uk casino bar in action. Also used the bookies cancellation in an area number.

Have a tendency to message friends and ask to put the odd bet on though so trying to stop that for a period also by reducing vision of bets and betting. With the other stops in place things are a lot better though already!

Thank you also!

Mate, I did the same thing on new years eve.

I'd had a bad December and just felt myself getting a little too drawn in. Have never had an issue before and have gambled all my life.

I lost a big wedge in December but nothing I can't afford however, it just felt a little 'unhealthy' if that makes sense.

So I self excluded until end of Feb.

Bloody typical though, I was backing Carroll in play for a booking every time the useless lanky bastard came off the bench and got fuck all back. He starts against Arsenal in the cup and gets booked first half. Gutted.

I've had a few like that too, that I just know I would've backed but didn't. Need to remind myself that I don't see the losers I'd have backed too!  .

Pretty much same story as me mate. I am not losing anything I can't afford but I've tracked my spend on it the past few months and was thinking there are a lot of productive things I could have spent some of those losses on. No more deposits after this evening until March. If I get a decent win I may keep some funds in the account as use those up until they run out which more than likely will be by 21.45 this evening :)

There is a possible case for this thread to be buried in the site somewhere different to the main page .

Just a thought , chat maybe ?

Decent idea.

Tricky one, it’s a popular thread. It’s a shame if it makes anyone uncomfortable on here.

Wolves can fuck off.

Marseilles can fuck off

Bournemouth can fuck off

And Dortmund can fuck right off.

And Lyon can fuck off as well

I'm going Arsenal straight win tonight. Nowt fancy no handicaps or part of an accy, don't even care what the price is, just want to break this run and remember what a win feels like, we should be good for that........shouldn't  we ?

It is a very popular thread.

The majority of people on the face of it seem to be enjoying gambling and participating in this thread.

As someone who is not enjoying gambling at the moment I am not bothered about seeing the thread where it is at the moment and even when I was on my last break I did check the thread out probably not as much as usual but still did. I understand the are levels to issues though. For me it makes sense to remain in the football section!

Well it clearly does to be fair ,I often think if I bet too much , certainly I’m putting on a few more bets than I used too since I saw this thread .

I think we all bet too much and a lot more than we admit to midds[/member] thoughts on moving this thread to chat ?

Would it get less traffic ? I think so , it’s popular but a problem for some, maybe even me? Dunno , good discussion though and needs serious thought .Before those pop up and say just don’t click on the thread , addiction doesn’t work like that . Food for thought , I’m questioning myself now  :azn:

Had a moment of madness and put my £5 free bet plus the spare £3 in my account on us to win 1-3 @66/1. 66/1 to win 1-3 ffs  any half decent side would be 16/1 or something

£528 if it somehow happens

Do you want me to tell you if your bet won or not?

Which bookies is usually best?

Depends. Sky have the best boosts and offers, 365 usually best for cards and bet builders, PP best for shots on target. In terms of pure odds on teams to win Sky are usually worst
