Not only does he not look washed out or pissed off, he actually looks very well and perfectly calm and composed [emoji38]

Honestly ... this is just ridiculous!

I honestly shudder when I think back to what came before him ( Rafa excepted ).

Too easy to take this man for granted. What a brilliant ambassador he is for the whole city.

Great coach and ambassador for the club, but he really shouldn’t have this much control, or responsibility for transfers.

He clearly should have input, but this obsession with PL experience is definitely a contributing factor to this summers struggles.

Most of us knew this from the start. Should’ve been processes in place to go a different route when it became clear the PL route wasn’t going to be successful

Don't have an issue with the targets on their own, it's the insistence on trying to go under valuation with other clubs potentially interested and willing to pay what the selling club wants, moving at a snail's pace, failing to react or prepare for obvious market changes , and then doing it yet a-fucking-gain that's beyond a joke.

Of our reported targets plenty of them aren't PL players - Ekitike, Scalvini, Sesko and others, but when you're getting down the list and reach Jackson rather than taking a punt on a PL unknown vs a known player who's not worth it, it's clear that something has gone seriously wrong.

Eddie is doing Eddie - professional and diplomatic.

‘hurtling towards the end of the window’ - he knows we’ve got to get a lot of business done in a short manner of time.  That’s the most I’ve taken from the interview. Everyone knows that mind.

Eddie is a great manager. Be careful what you wish for

That wasn't tbe question.

Fact is, this scenario has been dropped on him from deficient owners

Owners are accountable for the mess, but we seem to be doubling down on PL targets with huge premiums attached. There’s only one man choosing these targets at the moment.

Press conference was excellent. He looks absolutely fine 👍🏻

We could literally end the window with no strikers in the squad and you’d try to put a positive spin on it. [emoji38]

Of course he’s not fine. He’s fuming and so he should be.

That's because hr doesn't want to sign players who aten't better than what we've got

It’s always the aim to sign players better than what you’ve got, my point being there must be some outside the PL that we just aren’t considering.

🙄 No answer to that mate if that is what you believe

If you dont believe that wanting somebody in the key position that you've actually placed them whilst seeing off 2 DoF's is not somebodys desire then i wonder what else it can be seen as?

It is evident there was a power struggle and there was a winner and a loser, leaving this situation. So that would mean its exactly what they wanted and the person left in the backroom was hand picked

Needs to take a back seat as far as transfers are concerned in the future.

Him and the players are the only positives about the club so I don't wanna be to hard on the lad.

100% this

Never read so much bollocks in my life.

Manager has improved practically every player here and who has been signed, two champions league qualies, one domestic trophy. This manager should be handed the keys

He basically has the keys now. Where's the players he wants?
