I mean Forest have 3 wins and 2 draws in their last games.. it's not beyond the realms of possibilities that they finish above us like. Even Leeds are unbeaten in their last 5.

Our next game is a write-off, the game after that a traditional write-off, by the time we play Forest a win could very likely put them ahead of us and Leeds have Burnley at home before we play Brighton so could already be ahead by then.

Don't get why such things continue to be so implausible to people given all the evidence of this season and the relative form of the teams in question here.

I reckon there is a good chance most of the people laying into the Elanga signing were saying positive things about the signing at the time

For the record, I wasn’t

I was rolling my eyes at "He's", as if he's solely responsible. Fucking stupid.

I can’t think of a worse team in the PL on current evidence than us. We look unmotivated, out of ideas, mentally weak and disorganised.

I think this season gets a lot worse yet and the penny will drop for more each week.

I don't think there's a penny to drop, we're pretty much at wheels off territory as it is.

At this point, you either think Howe is the man to coach a bit of a rebuild or we should part ways and give someone else a crack at it.

I just hope we don't do the half way bit where they give him the summer but a bad start and he's gone after a few games next season.

Still a lot of folk on the fence in my opinion.

Either way - 3 points above a team that's been fighting relegation is very poor.

Agree. Everyone could see how the following season was going to pan out under SBR and we should have parted ways in the summer, but probably out of loyalty (and Shepherd not wanting to be the one who "shot Bambi") we didn’t.

Ended up scratching around in the September for a new manager and ended up with Souness cos supposedly he was the one to get the brat pack under control.

Absolute worst case scenario this.

We see plenty of  "He" won us a cup and  "He" got us UCL twice on here.

Do you roll your eyes at that too?   Can't have it both ways IMO

He was the architect of our success in previous seasons, so that's obviously fair enough to say "he won us a cup." He hasn't been the architect of our downfall this season. Stupid to think that he has been. His failure has been in not finding the solutions to the various factors which have beaten us down. Just stupid and unnecessary cuntery towards an absolute legend.

We can all go back and forth but I’ve genuinely settled on us having a decent keeper being the difference between 42 and 58 points at this stage of the season. Pope and Ramsdale have sent the whole fucking team into meltdown

It’s unfortunate that we just didn’t have the money to buy a decent goalkeeper last summer, would’ve resolved that issue if we had

Except we did, just spunked it on shite in other positions mainly upfront.

wait a minute. So our players should be criticised for this season downfall while they shouldn’t be credited for last season cup success?

Fair enough.  Couldn't agree more with "He" won us a cup. That, and getting us 4th in his second season were unbelievable achievements and, IMO, almost solely down to him.

But where I see it differently is I think he takes a huge portion of the blame for this shambles of a season too. Unpopular view on here I know but thats just how I see it

Literally so far away from what I'm saying that I can't be arsed to respond beyond just this.

I can almost guarantee this is what is going to happen.

No, I don’t understand. You are saying Howe should be credited as the architect for last season success, I.e. he deserves most of the credit. Fine. Then this season you say there’re a lot of factors that Howe  shouldn’t be accountable. You are blaming the management and the players. So you are in fact saying the management and the players didn’t deserve that much credit last season.

Man.
