In general, it's been harder to watch them in the US since they were promoted so I haven't seen anywhere near the games I saw last year. Sane here I do watch the lasses games above anything else if their on some stream, except when the men's team are on. Yeah fully understandable with the time difference

Cclay
Well. I watched it instead of the lads (just knew). Seems like a good decision given the moaning in the match thread. We won and, as said, can't now go down (which was one of the goals). The match was swings and roundabouts (as the score suggests). Lumsden's goals were good. There was the usual opposition passing around us and sidestepping / turning around tackles too often. Our winner was a bit of luck, coming in the last minute or so from a backward defensive header that dropped just in the right place. That said, still in with an outside chance, given we win the game in hand and someone else beats Birmingham (our beating them will only draw us level and they have a far superior goal difference). We've lost the fewest game in the division, but those draws have screwed us. Edited March 3 by Cclay

And we're already at the stage where you assume we are going to very likely finish above three sides (Sheff U, Blackburn and Southampton) who were already well established in this division. Loads still to work on in terms of the progression of the team but I think we can pleased we've done a decent job this year - and a bright future ahead. They are on about increasing the size of the WSL, with a possibility of not having relegation. If we finish high enough, and our owners demonstrate ambition, we may go up regardless. It's going to be an interesting end to the season. After having next weekend off we have 7 games in 8 weeks. If we can get momentum we can achieve 3rd and who knows whether or not Birmingham or the Lionesses will struggle in the run in. With the financial backing and the manager they have, I think the lionesses may well do it but their final fixture is against Birmingham. If we beat both of them at home it could be a really interesting finish to the season. We put together a winning run and who knows. Why I'm still optimistic after St James yesterday I have no idea!!!!! Up to now I think the lasses, even though new to the league, have under achieved. The last 5 minutes against both Durham and Charlton have probably cost us promotion. To be still in it with 2 months to go is tremendous for our first season and we still haven't hit the levels I expected. If they can only click for the last 2 months, then we could all be on 41 points going into the final game with them playing each other.

The top four or so teams essentially accumulate all the best talent and are currently in a league of their own. I think somebody said we have five wins and a draw against the teams below us and just one point against the teams above us. It’s going to take a long time for that to change.
