Checko
It's amazing how quickly we regenerated the squad with a couple of fancy pants signings topped with a couple of more solid pragmatic signings per window. 1st Window - Fancy Pants: Trippier, Bruno Solid & pragmatic: Dan Burn, Wood, [Targett - loan] 2nd Window - Fancy Pants: Botman, Isak Solid & pragmatic: Pope, Targett That got us from years of being shite to challenging for Champions league. You've then got Gordon as a bit of both, maybe Barnes too. Tonali fancy pants. Tino and Hall quite big fees but more bought as squad depth in the short term. Basically - a fancy pants signing at CB and RW, couple of more solid pickups at CF and CM, maybe a fullback too assuming Trips goes and that probably does our squad the world of good, assuming no-one major leaves. Seems to work well with us adding quality and depth without losing too much of our identity and coordination. Edit: a top goalie who can do kicky kicky would be nice too obviously, though personally I still rate Pope highly at actually being a good keeper and top lad, so I'd be willing to wait for next year & go fancy pants for that (assuming we're not getting Trafford). Sibierski
Unless a really good GK is attainable that doesn’t compromise our budget, I think a GK will be held off till 2026. If we improve elsewhere, the GK should be serviceable till then. Because the needle moves only slightly with an upgrade, whilst elsewhere it moves a lot more. Sibierski
Obvs, Saudis giving us £5m for Dubs or £10m for Vlach would be nice.

Emotic
I see how every single player in our team celebrate together when someone scores a goal. And then I compare it with how Cherki last night (and Garnacho the other day) do that "one man stands alone" cringey celebrations (Cherki even gestured to hold off a teammate) - and I think, like, "GTFO, you're not better than the collective". I suppose if we sign any of these kids, the Elder Statesmen of the squad will have a word and sort them out quickly.
Ash
Really hope we're in the market for a CM in the summer, regardless of any of the current crop leaving. Been said a lot but we really need to raise our technical floor and a different profile to what we currently have is vital. Would love us to make a play for Angelo Stiller from Stuttgart but imagine there'll be plenty of interest in him. Edited April 20 by Ash

We'd be paying a fee plus the salary without gaining the benefit of an asset. Also loans really aren't suited to Eddie's methods of bedding people in slowly. Poor use of resources imo. I know but we need squad depth and it'd cost a helluva lot more to buy 3-4 players than loan them. I think the 3 "big" signings take our first XI to top 3/4 level. We need strength underneath that. Mbuemo at 60+m is too much for us imo. Guehi might also be as his salary demands I imagine will be high. We are in a tricky spot a lot of pressure on Paul Mitchell this summer. Aye, Mitchell really does have a hard job this summer. On the flip side, he’s been here a year come summer and we haven’t spent much, he’s had plenty of time to prepare for this transfer window. Couldn't agree more, he's had plenty of time to settle in and plan what not needs to be done, of course certain factors will never be in his control but I do have quite high expectations for this summer personally. Mahoneys Tache
There will be a plan and it will be a really good one. I think what’s happened up to now should reassure everyone that it is in hand

Especially if we get CL, which we will.

Unless someone else has popped up that we prefer I imagine it will be a strong possibility. A lot of the leg work would have been done last year already. It just came down to them wanting more money, which is no longer the case. So let's see what happens.
