You would need to spend a decent amount of money on replacements for any star players sold, that's my issue. And the replacements would likely be lesser quality, unless your scouting is absolutely perfect.

His replacement is already at the club? Italian international CM. We are not short of CMs but do need to prioritise a CF and RW above a Bruno replacement, in my opinion.

We should include Nunes in any sale to City. I think he'd be a really good fit in either the LCM or RCM positions.

I agree.

Seen a few talk down on him on here, but I remember watching a fair bit of him at Sporting, and I think he'd suit Howe's team unbelievably well.

A lot of what we keep waiting for Willock to deliver consistently, is exactly what he would provide in a more high tempo team.

And a Joelinton, Nunes and Tonali midfield would return us to our relentless pressing style.

Well we need several good CMs. If we lost Bruno then IMO Tonali would one the only real quality CM in the squad. Miley could be in future.

The relentless pressing style isn't the issue when teams sit back against us. Joelinton needs to be on the wing or on the bench in those games.

Joelinton hasn’t played well in CM for a long time for us.

Well the manager is going to continue playing him in there, and so we have to hope for the best.

Gordon is on the left and we are looking to bring in a right winger.

We are going to have to get a quality right winger that improves our attack.

Regarding Joelinton, you will have to take that up with Howe.

I'm purely looking at what Howe is most likely to do with the players. And if we get a right winger in that starts, Gordon will be on the left and Joelinton in midfield.

Great character and can win a free kick but his shooting reminds me of Diana Ross in the USA opening ceremony, also has the pace of an asthmatic sloth.. Canny at fist pumps but anything around 70m should be snaffled asap..

70m

In world where Rice & Caceido went for 100m, Hojlund & Nunez @ 70m.

You guys either don't rate/value Bruno or don't understand the market.
Anything under 90m would be criminal

If City do come knocking then we're in a strong position, they need someone to fill a Rodri shaped hole and although Bruno is not that guy he would give them a bit of control.

90m + Nunes and we should consider it. Then get whatever we can for Almiron, Longstaff, Targett etc, maybe let Joelinton go too.

I'd rather lose them then Barnes, Gordon or Isak

I agree with you on his value £90m sounds about right, but how old were those players you mentioned there when they were sold for those amounts? Bruno's 27 now, every year we don't sell, his value depreciates. It's the same with Barnes. Different if they were 24.

The only way we can stop even thinking about this is some wins tbh. If we are in the top 6 challenging for the CL, who will give a toss about PSR?

Would be daft not to take £90m and one of Citeh's young hotshot players. We'd probably be able to get a couple of stellar first teamers with that. Would be sad to see him go but he won't be here forever and it might make sense to get it done in January before his value goes down, particularly as we are crying out for new players.

I trust our scouts to spend wisely. We identified Ederson last year and he was available for £25m but we decided not to spend. We also were heavily linked to Mamardashvili before he signed for Liverpool but we once again decided against spending £30m on him.

The scouts are identifying real talent abroad for decent prices, we just have to hope we back them.
