Matt Targett set to miss remainder of season with hamstring injury (Howe)

Who signed Targett? He seems like an overhang from a previous regime following his numerous injuries. I don't blame the lad. He was decent when he first came in. I am certain holds the right attitudes, but sadly.is not of the level we require.

I feel as though he was a lazy signing. He was decent on loan and it was rumoured we were after that lad who Forest signed from Atletico. There was a couple of weeks between the season ending and us signing Targett, and the consensus was that we wanted someone a bit more attack minded.

Was as if we just wanted to get someone in early doors and at a decent enough fee, which is fair enough.

Who is this and what have you done with Heron?

 you know me. I'll be positive where I can. I just think when PL sides come up against League 2 (Division 4) opposition and want to prove their worth (even as a squad player) then more should be offered than was displayed today by certain folk. Decision making and lack of thought is just inexcusable.

Fair enough ha, best to be balanced.

Thought he looked understandably rusty today. Casting my mind back to the second half of 21/22 and he was excellent for that second half of the season.

If he could stay fit then I’d be more than happy to keep him as backup LB. However he’s one of these players who

will just randomly disappear for months on end, so if someone offered us £5m or so then we should really be snapping their hands off.

Looked solid, never really troubled, got into some good positions on the overlap( although his crossing was poor, admittedley) . Reminded me of what he was pre injury, he's on a similar footing to Krafthy imo. I'd say that's more balanced to your damning report, like

Yeah, I mean he looked decent in a side that was aspiring to be just above relegation. I have nowt against the lad, it's nowt personal, I agree today he will have been rusty and that a fully fit and regularly fielded Targett is better than I witnessed today, but on today's showing alone, he showed he was miles off the pace both physically and mentally versus league two opposition.

There were times first half where not only was his distribution poor, but he showed no attempt to be in the progressive poisitions he should have been in, was not in the defensive positions he should have been in, was too left footed and made bad decisions. He was literally poor in every aspect of his game.

I hate being "this guy" but he was. It's literally so unlike me.

He played well shows he's still got something to offer this team going forward.

I'd happily keep him if he's okay with been backup leftback.

We played Bromley 😂

He's barely played a game in two years, he should be moved on in the Summer.
