Reading some scathing comments from their fans about Xhakas performances over their first 2 games. Slow, can't get about the pitch, sits far too deep etc, legs gone etc.

Pretty much what I said would happen when they signed him. 33 next month, been away from the PL for a bit, used to playing in teams that dominate the ball not chase it. Was always going to be a tough transition for him. Might still come good but if he was available and Sunderland were the only suiters, I suspect that was for a reason.

The bloke covering the match for Sky Sports ( Burnley) said his class shone through and was heads above anyone on the pitch, about 20 mins in the game

Interesting. A 40% pass accuracy and losing 8 out of 11 duels, as well as being dribbled past 4 times suggest differently though. One of the National publications gave him a 5/10.

The people who cover matches on Sky now, are not worth an opinion. He certainly wasn't heads above anyone in the game I watched

They have sent images to Sunderland council of what an expended SOL would look like, the expansion that they show would hit a 56k capacity.

They should announce that it has already been built, and was full (again) last week. Would be in line with all official comms re attendances over the last few years.

Nutters.

More empty seats to be embarrassed about, seeing that they couldn't even sell out for their first game (usual tickets sold bullshit though). Not a good look for their future lower league years.

I think it’s more indicative of what an expansion would entail and how close to the development it would be if it was ever required. Considering that it’s only been a sell out a handful of times, and never consistently, short of a takeover similar to ours, I don’t ever see it being required.

The thing is, when their owner decides to cash in, what he’ll be making his money on is potential, and if a buyer comes along and see’s that their stadium is locked in at it’s current size, it’s not going to put any figures onto the price of the club.

It’s all very fanciful, and on the back of their promotion it’s got their fans believing, and has helped him in the good PR camp after numerous calamities, it’s absolutely not going to happen though. As I say, it’s a ‘potential’ premium to add to the sale of the club.

Their biggest game since the last time we played Liverpool. Let's hope for a similar scoreline.

On my life. Didn't watch or follow the match except for checking on here, pretty sick of football tbh. Got the window open,  its dark but really warm and am watching out for a hedgehog out there. Heard some whooping and cheering from down the street so got up and heard a "come on" from a woman. Realised what it was because next two doors down are mackems (not match going or all that bothered unless its a big game ones), checked the scores and sure enough.

To top things off, hearing from multiple people with connections to Northumbria's finest, that our away fixture in December will be a bubble trip. With all supporters forced to collect their ticket on the bus.

Despite the club specifically assuring us it was a one time thing in the cup due to the size of the allocation.

Disgrace if true and seriously hoping it's bollocks.

Hold on. He said on here that he wouldn't hide. Also a fuckin liar then. Seriously though, they have just been beaten by a team that are going to be relegated. Where do you think sunderland are going to end up? I'm talking to you Teddy and safc. Well? Full of it last week weren't you both. Not hiding though.

Back to work after a disappointing away day at Burnley, simply need to take your chances.

I haven't been logged on at all weekend, get your mods to check if you are that arsed. [emoji38]

FWIW I thought you were very good last night and were unlucky not to win, never mind to not get a point.
