8-1 from 9 SOT and an XG of under 2, sounds plausible to me.

Sorry for not fact checking everything I write.

They had 9 shots on target and acored 3. One of which was the save for the 3rd goal which was an excellent initial save.

The point is simply that it could have been a lot worse without him.

He was almost flawless and despite their pressing across the back. His distribution was better than usual.

Shame that long throw didn’t have Barnes on the end of it. Seemed like he lobbed it even further than the Benfica one.

Pleased for him.  Fully deserved on form this season and whilst he will be third choice, there isn't another English keeper ahead of him for that 3rd spot.  I'd have him over Henderson and all.

Nice. Even better that he’s chosen over Trafford because he’s getting game time.

I can’t help but feel for Trafford or rather the grief he seems to have generated. If that Donnarumma saga hadn’t have developed he’d be City’s no1. You can see why he went for it. It just hasn’t worked out yet.

“Yet” seems incredibly optimistic at this point tbh.

James Trafford is at the right club, it’s only the other week Nick Pope was conceding 3 at lowly West Ham, nobody is saying he’s a bad keeper because of it but a week is a long time in football. :)

Right club for what? Cos it doesn’t appear to be playing football regularly.

Doesn’t need to be playing regularly, he’s got the league and fa cup games at this stage, he’s 23 yrs old and he will be number 1 in a couple of years time, I have no doubt. All this he turned you lot down to sit on the bench is just stupid talk, some fanzines need to move on.

Donnarumma’s 26 and he’s absolutely class. As much as I rate Trafford, he’s got miles to go to realistically have a chance of surpassing him.

I’d be very, very surprised if Donnarumma isn’t your number one for at least the next 4-5 years.

We have moved on regarding Trafford. The problem is, he will also move on if he doesn’t get enough game time. It’s clear from the comments coming out of his camp and the moves that he’s made so far that he wants to be the number 1 keeper at a premier league club right now

Out of curiosity why did you sell Ederson? He's only 32, didn't sound like he wanted to leave and I was under the impression he was meant to be really good.

If Ramsdale was a permanent signing instead of a loan, I think there is a bigger case of starting him from Howe's point of view.

Unless Pope is injured, I can't seem him being dropped anytime soon. Look at what happened to Watkins at Villa when he got dropped for Rashford last season. It had clearly disrupted the dressing room and team morale.

Right club to be a benchwarmer, ruin his world cup chances and push him further away from being England’s number 1. Donnarumma is mid-20’s isn’t he? Plenty of years left at the top for him.

Mid thirties you mean? 😂

Ignore me thought he'd been around for donkeys years.
