Wild that.

so someone could buy a membership now and have a chance, however remote, of getting one. Yet someone like @bobbydazzlawho has tried his best to get a ticket for every game might still not get one.

It defeats the point of a waiting list.

Also, no idea why they’ve only done it for the last 2 seasons. I presented my views to the FAB, of which none of it has made it even close to the roll out (e.g. Historical data since 2022). Funnily enough, it’s effectively exactly what they set out at the ST workshop, again confirming it’s all lip service and they’ve made their mind up months ago.

The way I read it was that Priority 1 get put in a ballot to determine what number they are on the waiting list. Lets say there's 1000 in this group and they all get randomly given a number from 1-1000.

Priority 2 also get put in a ballot to decide what number they are on the waiting list, but they are after Priority 1 so the lowest person in this group would be position 1001.

And so on

Another interesting point I’ve seen raised  - if you apply for every game with another person, do you get separate list numbers or two numbers together?

Obviously especially relevant if you attend with a child.

Wonder if I'll be able to apply for the bairn... Probably not as an u14 :undecided:

I have an st so would only need to add her to the waiting list.

I'm wondering if it will be a literal list or just a pot of 250 tickets they'll sell to Pot 1? Depends what's planned for future seasons I guess.

Wondering if it's win/lose or like "you have been given position 300, so next year you'll probably get one".

If they do a random ballot every summer based on number of Priority 1's over the previous 2 seasons then it's gonna be brutal for the vast majority.

I'd much rather you got a position this summer and then every time an ST is sold, you move one space nearer to the top of the list, as long as you maintain your 75% ratio each season.

At least you have some clarity on progress / chances rather than it just being a lucky dip.

But both options have their pro's and con's for many reasons.

My impression was the latter - that we'll get an actual position in the ST queue.

Scary thing is they will probably have to do a ballot every season for position.

You, I or anyone else that will be in Priority 1 pot have got in using two seasons of membership and 75% applying for ballots or attending games and stand a chance (small) to get a season ticket if not each year our chances increase.

Flipside someone in Priority 4 continues to attend games, for example season 27/28 will be in Priority 1, but at the very bottom of possibly tens of thousands. They will have to keep attending/applying and for seasons never really stand a chance of getting offered a season ticket unless they random ballot and make it fair to them (this then isn't fair to us already in Priority 1)

Releasing a season ticket waiting list and the method of priority still leaves a lot of questions needed to be answered. If I'm going to keep being balloted every season in priority 1 but still have to pay over inflated ticket prices compared to ST holders that's going to be harsh

Can’t see them balloting every season, but I can see you be required to keep hitting the 75% every season to maintain your place in the list.

Priority 2 onwards then don't stand a chance for years.

Has to be, easily 5,000 that have been members and at the least applied for 75% of all ballots.

Est 500 season tickets released each year it would take upto 10 years to get a ST and we'd gave to keep paying memberships and over inflated prices.

No, I doubt many from this list are getting STs for many years, incl most in Pot 1 - without a big new batch from an extension/new stadium.

I'll be in Priority 2 and I can live with that. Guessing I'll make it to Priority 1 by the time the stadium comes around, I never really held any hope of getting a ST at the current stadium size anyway. It is quite annoying though that I've actually attended well over 50% but because I haven't applied for 75% of matches, I will be behind people who might have entered the ballot and only went to a handful of matches over the last 2 years after giving up after the ballot fail.

It also means I'm just going to enter every single ballot now even if I am unable to attend just due to the fact that I'm more likely to fail and will still get my % up to potentially move me up to P1 if they reshuffle them every so often.

Yeah, does seem like that from reading more carefully. Just interesting if your position is fixed just based on the last 2 years. Can you drop down if you stop going as often, for example?

You'd think so, but could get very complicated. Promotions, relegations, tiers within tiers.

Doesn't let me buy a match ticket for just her, so I would be surprised if I'd be allowed to buy a single season ticket for her.

Had to pay 70 for her for Qarabag  the seat next to me was available but it wouldn't let me buy a single u14 ticket so had to go for an adults ticket on my membership.

I'd imagine you will move up and down depending on ballot entries. That way, they can ensure maximum attendance (even though it probably won't be an issue). Maximum ballot entries and they will probably take the piss with membership prices as they now have this carrot to dangle.

One way of working it would be if you fall below 75% or 50% in the previous window, you move down to the suitable category but possibly take the highest queue position in the category you have been moved down to. In the same way, if you move up, you move the bottom of that Priority.

Did anyone find out how to work out how many ballots entered over the last 2 seasons?

Don’t think it was possible unless you had your own records.

Unless you have personal records you're snookered. Even purchase history details on the NUFC site only go back as far as Oct 24.

Depending on your email provider, if you still have deleted items available going back to Jul 2024 then you could look through them to see how many ballots you've entered, because for each ballot you get an entry confirmation email and then a success / fail email.

I signed up to auto renewal just now because I’m terrified buying a new one just after mine expires won’t count as ‘continuous’ membership. Usually prefer to renew manually.

What’s the benefit of manual renewal?
