Infinitely Content
Wissa and Openda... yeah that's not going to be anywhere near good enough, both in terms of quality and to appease the fans. It has to be Sesko or an equivalent in stature/profile to recover any lost momentum.
r0cafella
And the timing of all this, I'm foaming because he's made the club look absolutely fucking stupid here. A few hours ago the club put out the excuse he's injured to save his face and not make him look like a cunt and instead his side goes and leaks that no, actually I want out. GallowgatePigeon
Isak owes us nothing, he is one of the best players in the world and deserves a club that matches those ambitions and crucially, has the capacity to compete, which we won't be able to build for years. I hold no ill will against the guy. Yes, he's under contract and by rights should be with the team in Asia, but none of us complained when Gordon effectively went on strike at Everton to force a move here. He's an elite athlete, his only loyalty is to his career and that's OK. Having said that...anyone but Liverpool! (But it'll definitely be Liverpool)

He’s that level where top clubs won’t spend big money on him. Isak is that level. Hence all the deliberate "leaks" and agitation by the media and possibly his agent - we want a certain sum to consider a sale - "they" are attempting to lower that sum through unsettling the entire situation. Seems like a very bad clause to put in Bruno’s contract if it is true as he is not the best player at the club now and will not necessarily be in the future. It wouldn't be impossible to say to Bruno "Can we make an exception here? We'll give you another X/week but we need to give Isak a lot more and we can only do that if you waive this clause, otherwise we have to sell him". Would be sensible for Bruno to then allow the exception, and he seems the type to do it. He'd rather play in a Newcastle team with Isak than without him. JT24
Players will always come and go. Isak will be one of the very best to have played for us. Have to give them an elite environment to support their journey. Falling short on this currently, please sort it out PIF.

Clearly he's the player with much higher potential. Also he's a 6'5 giant, Eddie doesn't want no Openda and Wissa midget strike force surely.

Taylor Swift
Players don’t owe clubs anything. Likewise, clubs don’t owe players anything. Isak was excellent for us. He was clutch, played through injuries and will now fetch a very high fee. Time to look forward.

Sibierski
For all of the talk of Liverpool interested, surprised they haven't got terms agreed yet with Isak. Like is the £300k even too much for them? Can move on Diaz etc. all they want for funds, but their wage bill will be shooting up this summer. Salah / VVD on big new deals. Wirtz on a mega deal, Etitike on similar, then Isak would take just those three close to £1m pw. Quansah and Kelleher would be neglible wages gone. TAA the only big one off the books. Diaz/Elliot would be like £100k between them. Transfer funds is one thing, wages are another when you are making multiple high end signings. Doesn't leave much wiggle room for future seasons. Many a time last season he started out fine and then the slow strut began in the second half? Maybe he's just an unprofessional lazy cunt?
