its a world cup year, not sure how Sweden doing in the qualifiers but imo its an option to keep him and tel him he will be benched a lot if he doesnt work his ass off. but if he does and helps us we may do a gentleman agreement of selling him next summer for set fee. could even get  a one off bonus like 30 goals  scored all fronts here is another 7m pounds in bonus as a motivator for one year.

selling him now to a direct rival, with how the window has been going so far and teams knowing we are full of cash if Isak is sold, I can only see obscene prices set for our targets. and its a big if if we can replace Isak's goals.

this season is crucial for us to do something nice in CL and get as much revenue from there as we can but more importantly try to get into top5 again hoping the bonus CL place (5th) falls for PL again vs other top leagues. it will be brutal hard and competetive to finish in top5 imo this season. will be harder than last time as we didnt have CL to worry about and were fresh generally. our defense are old as fuck, deffo we need to look at that.

Yeah just thinking about team morale, don't doubt that he would be professional.

I would hope players big bastards lile burn, Schar and Joelinton wouldn’t stand for shit attitudes. Howe definitely wouldn’t.

Any legs in the fact his house was done over and he genuinely doesnt feel safe etc? Physiologically his heads gone with the place because of it?

Not that moving to Liverpool would help mind

Just me adding to the speculation with no facts whatsoever...

I live in the next street to him. See him about regularly.

I'm 99.9% sure he lives in a house owned by the club and he’s never bought here. If he has bought it, it’s not a very footballer like gaff that’s for sure. Nothing like you’d imagine and nothing on the other players houses.

He left straight after the last game of the season and only returned last week. There were police cars outside it about a fortnight ago tbf so not sure if he’s had a break in lately or not.

I’ve said for ages that it felt to me he was only passing through because a top player wouldn’t settle long term in that sort of property imho.

Harvey Barnes is the same though his (club owned) house is nicer.

Its not just about having a shit attitude, but the players will know that he wanted to go. Can easily see it mess with the unity in the squad.

They'll also be professional enough to know that if he put the graft in then they're ok. (More so than the crowd no doubt).

Clearly not been doing his research if he thinks he'll be better off in that regard in Liverpool like #JustSaying

I think the deal with Liverpool is done. Clubs won't announce it yet so we don't face inflated prices going after our targets.

Really ? If we suddenly go after Sesko and offer him decent wages Leipzig won't think "thats cos their selling Isak for over 100mill" ?

We aren’t forced to sell anyone. And we are free to pay Isak what we want.

The other side of it is that if we value the player at £150m then the player is going to be saying surely I’m worth 250k+ a week then.

If he moves before we do any deals, we will definitely get ripped off. I reckon a couple of signings then we see an official announcement.

Creating a group of people who are fighting together for something has more to do with the human aspect of things and less to do with professionalism.

I just think having the main guy being someone who wants to leave would mess that up a little, people can disagree.

We bid £70m for a striker 10 days ago.

Football teams are riddled with schisms, players who don't like each other etc, they get on with it. Having what seems like a good bunch who get on together makes us feel better as fans though

Frankfurt would've demanded more had we agreed to sell Isak earlier.

Possible. Do you think Leipzig won't think we are bidding on the back of a possible Isak sale ?

Possible, but I doubt it. If all was agreed between clubs and player, and we wanted to keep it discreet I doubt we'd have the noise we've seen today. They would have told everyone to keep quiet until after we sign a few players.

The fact that the announcement that he wanted a move away, came so soon after we said he wouldn't be on the asia trip due to injury would be a blatant agent move to put pressure on the situation. Would be no need if all parties had agreed behind the scenes

Reports saying he has a verbal agreement with the club and that he can leave for a specific fee. I don't think he's a player we'd get quoted something ridiculous. Others on the other hand.
