Smith Rowe has had a good start for Fulham this season in that number 10 position.

 

Not sure why Arteta didn't give him more chances there as a rotation option for Odegaard.

 

Could have done with having him now with the Odegaard injury.

Guehi is still a quality player. He's just probably unmotivated. Never know what promises Parish has broken to him.

Also, we have a track record of remaining interested in players we don't initially sign. I doubt a few patchy performances at the start of a new season when he probably expected to be lining up in a different shirt will put us off. We might even get him for a reasonable fee, he's certainly not looking like a 60m defender.

He's a good player, but Parish pushed his luck.

 

I actually thought he was doing it because he had assurances Guehi would sign a new contract.

 

Turns out that's not the case. And so I have no idea what he was thinking.

 

Guehi not signing a new contract likely means he's at least somewhat unsettled. 

 

Contract now approaching the final year and these kinds of performances and results will tank his value.

 

Might even put clubs off going for him altogether. Things change very quickly.
