Could’ve been 5–4. Madrid have missed some chances too. Vini and Brahim missed 2 sitters

Was just about to post that Madrid have missed a couple to be fair as well, Milan keeper just made an outstanding save.

Mbappe has spoilt all the chemistry.

He has the look of a player that knows he will always be on the field and played where he wants to be, regardless of the needs of the side. Playing centrally doesn't suit him or them, no idea why he does. He hasn't added to their mix much that i've seen.

It would be amusing if Sporting get battered tonight.

All the Man Utd fans will be so rattled and start trying to rationalise it all ;D

Said it after they played us in the first game without Rodri. Great result, but they simply looked sooo much worse than usual. And I was sure it wasn't just us making them look bad. They haven't been convincing in a single game after that. They have just been facing mediocre teams and barely won each of them.

Might be too early to say, but is Amorim the greatest manager in PL history?

Lets see how he fairs at a smaller club with worse players than currently at his disposal.

Gyokeres with more goals already this season than Hojlund will get in the whole of last season and this combined

Gyokeres had more goals last season than Isak has in his entire Newcastle career.

He'll fit in well at us.

If we had finished our chances, we could have won that game. Much like we could have got something out of the Fulham match, and beaten Brighton.

And that says it all, because we were good, but not fantastic. And still we were the better team. Not often you can say that against Man City.

Thirsty for yet another striker already! ;D

Bet he can't wait for the plethora of chances Rashford and Garnacho will create for him

Poor guy will end up back at Coventry after a year or two.

Coventry are a great side. Managed to take the eventual FA Cup Champions to penalties after being 3-0 down.

impossible to read anything into last night. Amorim himself said the result was lucky, just a bizarre game of football really.

really interested to see how he gets on in the Prem. one thing is for certain, he's far better at speaking to the press than our dear Erik ever was. like their other managers, he'll get unlimited resources and plenty of time. it's basically only a question of whether or not his system can work over here.

I really like him, which is gonna be a massive mind-fuck.

Having said that, I really liked Klopp before he joined Liverpool. Soon got over that.
