joeyt
Looked like they had a canny afternoon. Just reading up about their 'ultras' and they're very left wing: Rayo's ultras, the Bukaneros, are known for their left-wing views and often display political messages and other protests, mainly against the commercialisation of football. Rayo's ultras often display anti-racism and anti-fascist messages, however, and are often ostracised by the government as a result. Rayo's players are often involved in charity work, one instance of this is that the then club captain Roberto Trashorras, amongst other players, regularly helps out at a homeless shelter. Hope they continue to do well in the league
Adam
Did anyone see the flags the Rayo fans held up at the start? Wasn't sure if it was some pirate flag or some sort of anti saudi protest (the swords look an awful lot like the one on the saudi flag), they also had a different banner to the one shown in the tweet above. It was literally a pirate flag - Rayo ultras are called “Los Bukaneros” (“The Buccaneers”) and they have pirate flags and a pirate song.
