The most criminal part was the ball ping pong-ing around the box and barely even a murmur of excitement.

Gone are the days when you used to get that full throated roar when we just broke over the halfway line.

They’re just not arsed it’s that simple, the biggest mystery is why they pay money to even be there, could save a fortune watching on tv.

Because it looks good on their TikTok channels, edited with some shit music over the top, talking about “the mags”.

Was utter shite today. Most don't want to support the team, just be entertained.

At one stage Dubravka should have give Burn a shout....I said that to mate and said you could argue he's not have heard him. But today you could hear a pin drop at times.
Huge amount leave for a pint on 40 mins, come back on 50 with their curry and chips and leave on 80, blocking everyone else's view as they do..

Might as well fuck off to the cinema.

That was really poor again today.

Much much worse than the Forest game was.

If people can't get excited about a home FA Cup 5th round tie then they should really pack it in and do something different with their spare time.

Far too many happy to rock up, hold up a flag before kickoff and think they've done their job and they can then settle down for a natter with their mates.

Not strictly to be filed under "atmosphere" but was appalling the amount of people that fucked off at the end and couldn't be bothered to acknowledge the players effort (yes they played shit but they had run themselves into the ground by the end.)

Gallowgate lower was at least 3 quarters empty by the time they came round. Of course the beggy cunts woth their tatty cardboard signs demanding players shirts were out in force :anguish: that's something else that needs to be banned imo

Anyone know if the club is planning on improving the WiFi in the ground?

Spent most of the game trying to get signal for a decent stream for the Barcelona game on my phone but it kept buffering.

It’s mad because the season the takeover happened and the season after, our home support was good. Class at times. This season, cup game against Arsenal and cup games against Brentford and Chelsea aside it has been dire.

The ballot was brought in before the two shit seasons. Is it really that bad for the atmosphere?

EDIT:

Our away support too. Why has it turned so bad? The checks are the only thing that could explain it. The miserable cunts who sit in silence at SJP every week now being the only ones realistically able to go.

Would rather we reduced SJP than expand it or build a new ground. Tourists, families and miserable cunts aplenty. Shocking atmosphere yet again.

As facetious as I think your being, thats the only suggestion that would actually work, pendant on who got in.

Everything else is pie in the sky, you just cannot undo quarter of a century of changing mindsets of football fans and expanding of fanbases married with watering down the hardcore.

My worry for moving is Manchester City. People giving haircuts in the stands.

We'd have more of those people with more modcons to distract from the game and supporting the team. Seating and mobile phones is damage enough.

I get that people want to move stadium but there's no logical reason why it would change the atmosphere for the better.

Yep.

We can do it for big games, or if the team is playing well, or if the team is in the shit and needs to be carried through.

Maybe expectations have risen and people are in a strop when those expectations aren't met?

The only way a new stadium would help is if it allowed folk to sit with their pals and have increased standing.

I’m just not convinced the club and likes of Silverstone even have that as a consideration though unfortunately.

I also think having 15k fans detached in level 7 doesn’t do anything for the overall feel of the place. SJP isn’t one of these old grounds like Goodison that has kept an intimate feel, its neither a new stadium, or an old traditional ground, it’s badly designed and any small amount of noise currently created doesn’t carry.

Thing is even if we get a new ground it's years away.....we have to get seat moves happening in the summer, the trust should be all over that as priority...we can't wait 5 years.

The must berated STHs losing the ability to buy extra tickets coincides with the drop off yet never seems mentioned. Maybe one to discuss?

Sitting with your pals is a big thing like, as is standing. But why can’t this be done at SJP? I get it would upset some people but it’s for the good of the club.

But even with a new stadium, one assumes you’d still be transferring the 30,000 ST holders across to a new stadium. Wonderful acoustics won’t mean anything with those people in the stadium.

Add in more corporate and more fans who sit down when a penalty is taken, and you could have the greatest stadium in the world - it won’t improve the atmosphere.

Ticketing is 100% the main issue here imo. Very closely followed by the need for a section(s) to be created for likeminded individuals.

Level 7 singing section was detached to the rest of the stadium for 3000 supporters. And we made a hell of a racket and we all loved it up there.

Exactly that other clubs have done so we should do, realistically fans are gonna just be not happy but not sack it off and lose their ticket...

Probably get some of them agree to move seats as long as the club physically unscrew their plastic grey seat and move it to the new location.
