I cannot remember bee or a wasp sadly!

I do remember whenever we scored it was crazy up there. Tiote’s goal in the 4-4 game was ridiculous, the 5-1 Mackem game was also class up there.

2007-2011 when the Toon Ultras were the boyos was a great time supporting NUFC.

I find people can only interpret a song one way. "Newcastle United will never be defeated"  is a classic one of a similar vein. We have obviously just been defeated by the Mackems in that particular battle or game, but the song is philosophical. It harkens more to the fact that sure, we might lose a game but we will never surrender or ultimately be worn to extinction. To use "Who's that team..." in a similar vein - it doesn't have to be the literal meaning and analysis of a situation it can be theoretical and ideological. This is what we will get behind and be behind and stay behind. It acts as a reminder and not just simply bravado or chest pumping.

Exactly. Remember passionately singing 'never be defeated' at Villa Park at full time after relegation. Yes, we'd literally been defeated that day and many times that season, it had rarely meant more.

The Leazes Level 7 Corner was just an absolute crease.

What were the stewards that weren't stewards called again?! Used to be dispatched up the stairs for whatever reason and we had a song for them too.

I was up there for about 3 seasons, great times.

Had a big old grin on my face reading about L7 when I couldn't sleep about 4 this morning.  Had my ST up there in the Championship season and then again the first season back up.  Goals galore that season.  Was priceless being next to the away end for the 5-1 against the mackems and the 4-4 with Arsenal.

I remember the box office calling me to say I wasn't allowed a season ticket in L7 anymore and did I have anywhere else in the ground where I wanted to go.  I said L4 Leazes Corner and they came up with a load of bullshit reasons why we weren't allowed to move there.  Seriously fucked off with it at that point, I binned my ticket.  TBF, I live 240 miles away and I've been going with my mate who has 4 family ST's since 2006-07.  So it was a bit of a waste of money in some ways.  I never really had too much of an issue with tickets home or away.  Until recently.........

I was there both times.  The first one I had to walk back to the Power Leagues on my own to where I was parked, hungover as fuck, with loads of Villa fans trying to goad me into some sort of aggro.  Some old Villa fan was sound as fuck and basically told them all to fuck off and stop kicking a man when he's down

Aye I'm 250 mile away, every home game is a trek, being doing it 13 years now since moving, it's baffles me when I have to drive 5 hours South yet people leave early to gan for a pint.

I'd love a large standing end where your surrounded by like minded fans, for me what got me hooked on football was the passion, particularly when I first stayed going to away games years ago.

For me if I just attended a football game to spectate I'd just watch every game at home, the appeal of going to a live game is the back the time the atmosphere, the shouting on your team with pride..

We used to be on the divide line up there and that 5-1 against them was just off the scale. My mate got chucked out by 2 coppers when Nolan scored the 2nd for "over celebrating"

I ended up a few rows higher up for the first goal. Must have crowd surfed up there somehow

Jossy remembering the same as some of you lads at the end of this bit from SJP :)  (I timestamped the start for full old stadium effect, but reflective Jossy is at 1:43:20) no idea what Bobby Charlton is doing there like

There was a time when we conceded a goal we immediately responded by launching into a chant in defiance, the one you mentioned was very prominent.

Imagine that happening nowadays [emoji38]

Probably is now. We're off to watch Dundee Utd v Dundee on Saturday. 2nd time we've done this derby. Was excellent last time.

You have an unusual commitment to these fixtures, who do you go with ?

Usually it's me, wor lass and the bairn (12). The 3 of us have all got the season tickets at PSV. Me and her have had them for 21 years and they kindly done us a massive favour to allow him to jump to the front of the waiting list a few years ago and also move our seats so the 3 of us could sit together. He's always had a massive soft spot for Dundee Utd as it happens for some reason hence the reason for our trip up there on Saturday.
