Plus Waddle's a fucking mackem so he can fuck right off. Not according to him he’s not. He told me this himself.

Ankles Bennett
2 hours ago, Wallsendmag said: I disagree. He's a very good player but not in the "World class" bracket. That's the very top echelon players and that isn't him. People throw around the World Class description too easily these days. Of course he is world class that's why he is so in demand by the top clubs. I assume you don't accept the Rat was/is world class either?

Yeah all we really know is that his agent seems to have been touting him around, and Man U were interested, but not at the price we are looking for. The Arsenal talk cooled a long time ago, and Man City are far keener on Anderson.

Yep, there's a big difference in clubs asking questions about a player that is seemingly wanting out by his agents actions and the possibility of getting a solid PL player for a cut down price and a world class CM that clubs are willing to go into a bidding war for. He's definitely in the first category.

gbandit
Let him piss his career away at Spurs if that’s his wish. I won’t feel bitterness towards him if he does go, just bafflement and an enduring desire to see Spurs continue to be a clown club

I want to keep Tonali though, he has lots of qualities and I don't want us to need too many incomings on top of what we already need.

I agree, but I also don’t want players who are desperate to get out. It’s unclear how desperate he is but the noise around him and the shopping by his agent suggests he wants out this window

Fwiw I think we'll only let him go for close to £100m and I just don't see anyone paying that, but if they do then thats plenty of money for his replacement and more. I don't know what happens in real life football clubs but surely you can't just sell anyone who fancies a change. The club's interests have to factored in too. I'm over keeping our best players against their will. If they really want to leave then just get the best price possible and reinvest wisely. If we can't compete with the cartel, then we have to at least learn to sell players at peak value and increase our spending options that way.
Weezertron
Doubt he ever planned to be here long. Come here, get his ban out the way, move on to a bigger club. Jobs a goodun. Best we can do is maximise the profit.
Super Duper Branko Strupar
If he actually wants to go to Spurs take the 100m. I want him to stay and him to want to be here, but if he's willing to try and make that move happen then get the money and reinvest. Not sure how much is him and how much is just agent talk, like. Yet more evidence if it were ever needed to show how hamstrung we are by wages.
andyman
Whenever a player wants to go, just let him go. For the right price, of course. 100m+ is pretty good value for Tonali after last season.
Shearergol
Spurs aren't spending £100m on him. They have too many other areas that also need improving. Unless they sell their 18 centre backs I guess.
