Time to pop a happy pill TRC. Fucking hell, the whimpering defeatism is hard to read.

You should see me in the Wissa thread. The King is back

The wages plus the amortisation would ruin us tbh. Would be 30m a year + to the bottom line.

If we get £90m for Tonali the net amortisation would be effectively 0 for the next three years, new five contract after three years and it would be around £10m a year after that. In terms of wages, Tonali's wage will be off the bill so it wouldn't ruin us.

Id be floored if we spent so much on one player this time like. I don't expect us to spend more than 60m euro on a single player this window personally.

I don’t mean to get him, I mean just get the dominos rolling so we know where we stand and show that we are actually serious.

If I've learned anything about Romano it's that he's used as a vehicle to apply pressure.

If they aren't willing to get close to the price tag of £100m we're under no obligation to do the deal.

None of this is from Romano though, he’s just repeating it. We can hate on Romano but Spurs want him and are willing to pay as they know they have to go above and beyond after missing out on Eze, MGW and Semenyo last summer.

its why they went mental for Van Hecke

The same fans that slagged him off all year despite being stuck in a rigid system that didn’t adapt and a club that fell apart from the top down?

He’s been mediocre since at least December. He’s a big reason we had the season we did, not a passenger on the ride.

The entire team were mediocre apart from Bruno and that suggests a systemic problem.

Im not sure Tonalis book value and if Milan have a piece of the profit but let's assume we book 60m profit. Anderson is 120m minimum. We'd also need to pay Anderson twice what we currently pay Tonali too.

I don't see how this works tbh.

I don’t see why everyone keeps mentioning Anderson. He is going for 120m and will go to a top top club, we are selling our best players, ditched him once and finished 12th.

Yep. Even if finances wouldn’t be an issue, I’m not sure Anderson would want to come back here. He (quite rightly) should have his sights set on a better team than us at the minute

Also, I don't think selling players, then buying them back for near £100m more a couple of years later, is the soundest business model.

I could be wrong though, I'm not a businessman

Because he is a top player who would possibly sign for us, give his all for us and would potentially transform our team.

There is no other player out there that can be said of. Other top players wouldn't sign for us even if we could afford them and we could easily spunk £120m on a couple of players who don't perform, care or just see us as a stepping stone to better things.

What he potentially offers  us is unique and priceless.

Knew he'd be away when his wife didn't think the RVI could handle a child birth and went to London instead. #PIFOUT

They're not wrong like, partners aren't allowed to stay so women are just on the maternity ward on their own with fairly limited support. We chose Cramlington for our second because of that policy the RVI has. :milner:

Is that the case? I was allowed in back in 13. Cramlington is way better like. Although I suspect Tonali goes private anyway.

Howay man. 120m and 350k a week he’s not choosing us over that

Wasn't the case last year or in 2022, you been feeding Ms. Tonali lies again?

My back of a fag packet working out is that Tonali's remaining amortisation will be about £23m total at £7m per year

So if we sell him for £90m that's a profit of £67m, which would be spread over three years at £22.3m and also a £7m per year reduction in amortisation.

If Anderson costs us £120m that's £24m per year amortisation, for the first three years we'd actually be in the black in terms of amortisation to the tune of £5.3m per year.

Plus Andersons wage increase over Tonali plus your now Making Anderson the highest paid player so you better prepare Bruno's new deal as well.

You also have to consider our new front of shirt sponsor is paying us less and we don't have any European money this year.

Id love him back personally, but I don't see it as feasible.
