Would they get rid of him? Surely Allison moves on?

I think he’d want to be no.1 soon somewhere. Could be wrong of course. He’s 26 now i think.

Hopefully where scouting Nicolas Kuhn from Celtic for the right wing looks exciting, plays with head up, scores goals and can go by players.

Just shows with good scouting and spreading the net wider than the PL you don’t need to spend a fortune.

First I've seen of him yesterday. Looked decent.

Only cost them £3 million in January!

Pretty exciting looking at the squad now, I think 2-3 years if we are shrewd in the transfer windows we can put together a title challenging team, end of August 2026 we could look like this:

New GK
Tino - 23
CB
Botman - 26
Hall - 21
CDM
Bruno - 28
Tonali - 26
RF
Isak - 26
Gordon - 25

Pope - 34
RB
CB
LB
Miley - 20
Joelinton - 30
Willock - 27
Barnes - 29
Striker

Anyone people disagree with? Pope feels most questionable for me, but that's not going to be an issue anyways, then possibly next would be Joelinton. Of course big name could leave but if they do then it at least gives greater scope with budget to bring others in as well as a replacement.

I'd be surprised if half of those players still play for us in 2026.

If we get top 5/CL place think we can keep everyone in that 1st 11, and if any of the subs leave don't think it'll be an issue to find like for like replacements.

Of course, it high likely won't go exactly as above, and if that's the case we should then have suitable budget to replace x, y and z, if we operate well in the market. Tough but certainly not impossible, and the main point is we are in a very good position to hopefully now press on to that next level.

I love Harvey Barnes but if someone offers us our money back (or close to), we'd be daft not to take the money. Just from the pragmatic/PSR stand point.

Obviously we'd all like to see Murphy or Miggy gone first but we'd actually need offers.

We had an offer for Miggy and chose to reject it.

Totally agree with this like. I really like Barnes but he plays in a position where we've got loads of options (Gordon, Willock, Joelinton) whilst we've got pretty shit options on the opposite side. It would make sense to cash in on Barnes and put the money towards a right winger.

I was just pointing out, we did receive an offer for Miggy.

To be honest, anything with any monetary value would be worth taking for him as at the moment he’s just a complete waste of a wage. We’re not going to get offered anything more than they did.

When we barely spent a penny all summer and seemingly had £60m to throw about, we could sell him for 50p and manage to find an upgrade of a replacement.

Well I'm just glad you aren't our DoF.

What value do you think we should hold out for?

Whatever value Howe holds in him.

We shouldn't just let players go for free because they are no longer first team players or because certain people in the fan base think they are "shite".

Just not how the real world works.

The value Howe holds in him is currently our 4th choice RW. How much more money do you expect to get for a soon to be 31 year old 4th choice RW with a very limited G/A rate?

In my scenario, we take the money Charlotte offered us as well as lose his wage off the wagebill without any impact on our results on the pitch.

Doesn’t seem too far fetched.

Yeah, I agree.

Think there'd be a decent amount of interest too, as he has done well for us earlier this season and will be at the forefront of people's minds.

Think he's too valuable on the market at the minute to be sat on our bench, with where we are PSR wise.

And unfortunately with his current role coming off the bench, due to how things are shaping up with the first team, his value is more likely to drop going forward.

Your first paragraph and your second paragraph are contradicting.

Howe doesn't rate him so much that he didn't let him go in the summer?

He's not needed now, how do you know where our next injuries are coming from?

It's easy to say that NOW the money from the US seems like a good deal (not that we know how much they offered) it didn't in the summer and it wouldn't look a good deal if we picked up 2 or 3 injuries to wide players.

Just a reminder, I don't rate Miggy too highly, I just don't think we can give away players who are currently in the matchday squad.

My first paragraph points out that Howe clearly can’t rate him highly if he is limited to 5 minutes every couple of games.

My second paragraph points out we received an offer for him in the summer and should have taken it, which would provide some incoming funds as well as removing his wage from the wagebill without any impact on our results due to how little he is featuring or achieving any impact.

I’m not sure what the other ramblings in your post refer to. You seem to have tied yourself in knots when you could have just acknowledged we received an offer and your original post was therefore inaccurate.
