Sell our captain and probably most consistent best player for the last 2 years for PSR. No thanks.

 

No guarantee Gomes plays well in the premier league, especially for a team like us who isn’t heavy on possession.

Gomes I love a lot and think he will be a top player for many sides. But the way we play under Howe, I can’t see him being good unfortunately because we aren’t a side that will cycle the ball loads and retain possession. May well in seasons to come, but like 90% of our team, if not more is more about fast transitions and needing CM that have legs. 

 

Ederson from Atalanta is the dream CM for the LCM. Him and Joelinton are some units to compliment Tonali / Bruno / Miley.

Angel Gomez only really came to prominence because of the Southgate resignation and Carsley pushing through a player from his time with the U21's, not saying Gomes is a bad player, but it felt like a new guy bringing in some of the lads he knows previous.

 

Southgate did exactly the same with Maguire, Deir, etc. They all have their favourites.

 

Gomes is about 5'5" and under 9st, it would be like my 12yr old in midfield for us. [emoji38]

I'd personally prefer to keep Trippier till the summer and get rid of Targett instead. Trippier can contribute a bit more offensively/set pieces and can play in a few different positions.

Osimhen is a no brainer if he becomes available, it's very likely there'd be a host of clubs wanting him. 

 

I could see him at Arsenal, and them moving Jesus on. 

Jesus is hardly prolific, pretty average striker really.

Feel Osimhen is the striker Arsenal need and they're the top prem team who really needs a top CF. Maybe Liverpool too.

 

Man U already have a £75 million CF already, plus Zirkzee as backup. Spuds have Solanke, Man C Haaland, Chelsea have Jackson and Nkunku (though it must have been about three months since they last bought someone so they must be getting desperate). Liverpool have Nunez who I really like as a player, but he isn't clinical, though Jota's a consistent scorer.

at some point, having such strict wage demands that you’re left to taking money to play in Türkiye on loan rather than in Italy for a top club that you’ve got great history with or in England for a top club and a next chapter in your life just seems like bad decision (+influence) in your life.

Some rumours of Tomori wanting out at Meelan. Hope Sandro has a word and he comes here and we forget about Guehi. 24 mil for Tomori, another 25 to 30 for Bakayoko or Dibling, and that’s two critical positions filled for the price of a Guehi.

Definitely but worth pointing out that Chelsea's new model is the long contracts are balanced with comparatively low wages so if he didn't want the long contract not unreasonable to turn down.
