I thought it was a smart signing for a Burn successor and a squad place. Which I guess it might still be in the long term.

 

But at the moment he looks rubbish, although I do think he made a goal-saving block at one point.

Unfortunately his poor marking is the reason we lost that. Conceding so early on gave them a huge amount of confidence and something to play for. It's a really bad mistake on his behalf.

That marking was conference league level on the first goal. That said, maybe they keep him as a LB and emergency CB. Not sure the wages he's on.

Hes a on fair chunk by all accounts. I don’t think he should be completely written off even after that though. Agreed it was very concerning however.

I agree with this. 
 

I wasn’t high on the signing.  Nothing from the eye test or stats excited me and he’s been worse than I even expected.  They play different positions but this guy is meant to be the Lascelles/Krafth replacement right? Couldn’t lace their boots on his performances so far.

Yeah it was strange wasn’t it, he didn’t look comfortable on the ball or anything and almost gave the ball away early on. When he’s played before he’s looked a physical presence at least and solid. Was kind of floating about without doing anything.

Think he's intended to be the replacement for Burn as backup to Botman and desperation backup at LB.

Not sure, probably about the same as Burn but younger and available cheap.

Like I said, Kelly looks bad so far, I was just saying he was signed as a long-term squad option who could cover LCB and LB in the same way Burn does. But not start too much in either position.

His positioning is abysmal, as bad as I’ve seen in a long time in a B&W shirt.
