Sibierski
Leave him, let Palace go down, and sign for half the price in summer.
CheikBoom
Last off the pitch there, and by quite a distance too. Applauding fans… waving goodbye?
Whitley mag
Watched a bit of this can’t say he comes across as a commanding CB, he’s got pace which we have been crying out for so hopefully alongside someone like Botman it’s a good blend.

ponsaelius
Yeah I definitely don't think he's commanding, certainly not aerially. His ability on the ball and pace would be great assets to have for us, alongside his personality, but do worry a bit if we play him alongside Schar. I have always generally been against paying big transfer fees for defenders, because I've felt defending was more coaching and organisation and you can get more from less. The VVD signing broke the mould on that for me - seeing how transformative he was and worth Liverpool both waiting and then paying the big £. On a similar note looking at a player like Gvardiol and what he offers as a footballer to City. If we do sign him I think it's not 100% that he'd be worth the money - but I'd trust the club as we seem determined.
KaKa
A big part of this transfer is definitely what they think he'd add to the team character wise and leadership wise.
STM
He's also 24 lads. Just a pup in CB terms.

Whitley mag
Guehi strikes me as a good defender in one on one situations, has pace, good character and very good on the ball, however positionally and in the air seem to be weaknesses. Never keen on paying a PL premium, but all the CB’s we’ve been linked with have flaws, so just get this fucker done and hope he thrives playing on the big stage. If the clubs can't agree on a fee then we should sign someone else.

STM
Look at it this way. Whatever he is now, he will be at least 20% better 6 months after he signs.

I can’t help but feel the second choice is likely a fair step down in terms of being a known quantity and ability.. but you’re right. The clock is ticking now. Nucasol
I actually think this happens after today. They’d be wise to cash in and think that’s what’ll happen.

Armchair Pundit
On current standards he's barely worth £50m, fed up with the furore over it all to be honest - I'd still rather we went for one of the foreign league centre backs we've been linked with as a cheaper alternative. No way we should be dancing to Palace's tune on this.
