Honestly this season is quite refreshing. The CL spots are wide open between like 6 teams (atleast) fighting for the last 3 spots. This is including teams like Forest, Bournemouth, Villa and us. Enjoy it while it lasts boys, might be the same old in the coming seasons..

To br fair, us and Villa have been in the European picture for three seasons now.

Agree with the principal and on the freshness but from a different perspective, Forest and Bournemouth and some others to a lesser extent are the only thing this season has going for it.

The championship and relegation places - the two main things - are all but sorted by mid-Feb - how many seasons can that have been said of.

On the other hand the top 4 is a very artificial construct and I'd imagine if there'd been a top four scenario most seasons would have multiple teams feasibly in with a shout at this point.

That's fair, but it's also worth mentioning Man Utd being 15th and Spurs 12th. That's also very unusual.

He's singlehandedly winning the Premier League.

Disagree with this. He's their star attacker but the whole team is performing with the exception of maybe Robertson.

Van Dijk, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch and Mac Allister all having really good seasons. Gakpo/Diaz have nearly 30 goals in all competitions between them.

Saying Salah is singlehandedly winning them the league would be like me saying Isak is singlehandedly winning you a place in Europa, which would be disingenuous.

Single-handedly is always a bit hyperbole, but when there’s a big game, big moments needed in games, Salah has yet again multiple times produced.

Yea others have all played well and provide platform, but it’s often Salah the magician at the end that unlocks it and more often is at centre of the biggest moments in games.

Yeah, Gravenberch and Szos have been amongst the best players in the world in their respective positions this season. I’m particularly annoyed that we missed out on the latter as he would have been perfect for us.
