Have to disagree. This team is not capable of beating the most in-form team in Europe in a crunch cup final. It really is a foregone conclusion for me.

Some of our leaders couldn't even up their game when we needed it against Brighton today. The malaise at times was wild. We have a hugely damaging mental block now and public perception that we are inconsistent bottlers that only turn up when bothered. Hope Eddie can use that as motivation and the players react.

 

We have had some great performances against teams like Arsenal. It's in us but too often we roll over.

 

Gordon is a big loss but losing Isak would be a game ender.

From memory barely a third of his body was offside. In 99.99999999999% of all football matches in the history of time, we've won. Apparently the sport was wrong until a few seasons back though.

It is, I have no arguments with that.

 

But I can't imagine when offside was brought in, it was ever envisaged that an "unfair advantage" would be a player leaning his upper body a couple of CMs past the other side of the last defender.
