Harry 209
Allowing myself to get carried away here but it's not too much of a stretch to imagine a World Cup Final with Ramsdale, Livramento, Hall, Burn, Gordon, Bruno and Joelinton playing in it

It’s a nice dream though.

MagPar
I watched the whole match. Not one German player got pass marks except for the keeper who kept the score down. You couldn't judge any player on that overall team performance. I'm proud to have big Nick on our team, I'll reserve judgement for some point in the future AFTER he's had a chance to show us what he can do. I hope proves all the naysayers wrong. relámpago blanco
He'll be class. We wouldn't have signed him other wise. Eddie's NUFC don't sign failures

Ketsbaia
When researching him earlier, I was shocked at how quickly 'Woltemania' is escalating - he was on the bench in Stuttgart's first 10 league matches of last season + sometimes came on. Was left out of their Champions League squad, too. Basically, he's been a starter since December and is now here as our club record signing. Very risky (but exciting). Armchair Pundit
The guff floating around about Nick, the embarrassing doom-mongering from parts of social media, etc, it's just a tad silly tbh. After watching the Germany match, it was obvious that the entire team struggled, the tactics were rubbish and certainly none of it played to our boy's strengths. I have no doubts to him playing for us, any of these nitwits trying to bring him down, it wouldn't surprise me if it was just the usual culprits trying to unsettle things and keep maintain perceived turmoil at our club for clicks. Despite the high transfer fee (which really was too high, but market went crazy) he is still young and raw talent with clear on/off performances. If we let him grow under guidance of Eddie, we will get good player out of him. But if fans or press turn on him too soon, there is great chance of flop, considering young age and short career and the pressure affecting mentally. British press is cruel and so are some fans. He is easy target so I hope he gets the respect and patience he deserves. German strikers do seem to peak later than many other. But they tend to keep the level then. HayDen Traces
He's not the finished article. He's going to need Eddie to get out his polish, but there's definitely talent there and the hope is in a couple of seasons he's top class

Toon1984
Aye he’s a flop. Another to add to the long list of flops Eddie has had at Newcastle. As for his price? It’s deja vu with Isak.

Both Ekitike and Sesko cost more, Ekitike only really had last season as a regular first team starter and everyone is still waiting for Sesko to really have a breakout year too. It kinda bewilders me those in the media balking at the fee; as apart from Delap who had the really low release clause, every other striker we went for was at similar ball park cost and they all had similar risk attached. Conjo
Working conditions taken into account I thought he did well. No striker will look good alone up top for a team that never manages to involve them in the game. Yeah he had two shitty headers and one failed attempt at dribling past Skriniar who's been one of the best CBs in the world the last 6-7 years. Which striker has a 100% success rate at anything? He worked hard, held the ball off from multiple opponents and found a team mate the few times he received the ball with his back to goal. I'm not good enough at football to judge his movement, but he was constantly trying to get into good positions as far as I could see, but he hardly ever received the ball. Think we'd do well to have him come deeper than he did in this game to receive the ball and have him be a more active part of the build up rather than having him playing off the shoulders of defenders, but we shall see. I feel we had a similar issue with not involving Isak more too a bit too often, but maybe Howe will do some tactical changes since Woltemade isn't as quick as Isak is.
