Sunderland 1-0 Newcastle United (14/12/25)

Time to win this comfortably. Can’t give them a sniff early doors. I’d keep Gordon on (he at least looks up for it) but Elanga needs hooked, too many errors. The Juice knows what to do. I also think if he can last,  get Wissa on at same time as Barnes (60 mins).

I think it's way too easy to have a go at the wingers in this team.

I think the midfield gets away with murder. They have been so pitiful finding space to get on the ball and initiate any kind of build up play it's embarrassing. Meanwhile Xhaka and Sadiki are controlling things for Sunderland.

Both our wingers are doing so much defensively, and then are just constantly given the ball in deep areas to have to make something happen going forward from there too.

Talbi and Traore for Sunderland on the other hand can get higher up the pitch and allow the team to work the ball forward to them in more dangerous wide positions where they have more room to operate.

I think it's incredible how ineffective the midfield has been using the ball and initiating play from front to back.

Bruno was moved back into the middle a few games back to try and improve things, but it looks like Tonali is now back in that position again, and it's not working.

By ‘effort’ I mean a blood and thunder, get into the cunts approach - and no, I haven’t seen that.

They are playing a mid block. If any player in our midfield does that, the whole plan will fall down.

If you disagree with the plan, then I'm tempted to agree but the players are sticking to the plan.

Fulham and Man U.

Pretty sure they were below Fulham when they played but Man U fair enough, both were away weren't they? At home for them I think we're still trying to do a first this season and we shouldn't expect this to be a cake walk.

We have a great midfield but they're somehow also so god damn shit in the final stages of play.

I completely disagree with it, it’s what we’ve done away all season.  It’s a massive problem
