The thousands of artists you say don’t exist are the players though. You reckon they’ll offer an official package of all sports tv shows and movies for £5 per month? Or even just all sports?

Clubs have to player ever increasing players more money because they want the best players because it’s a competitive industry. Until players and coaches etc salaries are drastically reigned in I can’t see them reaching the price point required as those most in demand will look to play and coach in other leagues.

Not arguing it’s a not good idea. Just feel the horse has bolted as younger more tech savvy fans become the customer base.

If you mean PL players then that wouldn't be an issue if the new service was bringing more money into the league than the deals with Sky etc.

Which it should even at a lower price point because of increased scale, cutting out the middlemen and their profit margins, getting revenue from advertisers and sponsors direct etc.

It would undoubtedly have a knock-on effect on the lower leagues and their TV deals so there should be filtering down of funds to compensate them for that (lol).

Weirdly i felt like that driving in as well, there was no buzz and no excitement in me, i was chewing about where to park and at one point stuck in traffic on the a1 i nearly jacked it and turned round.

I also seriously thought about leaving on 70mins and wish i had an ive never felt like that before

i wonder if i just was expecting us to steamroller them and couldnt get up for the battle

Yeah it all just felt flat and no one seemed arsed, i think it was a combo of people expecting us to steam roller a struggling side and a flat Monday night match.

Must admit I hate midweek matches now. Used to love them as a kid. Always used to feel a bit more special in the dark with the floodlights on and the atmosphere was usually better.

They are just a chore now. Public transport is utter shit so I was sat there in the 2nd half wondering if I'd be getting a bus, having to fork out for an expensive taxi whilst it sits in huge traffic jams, or facing a 1hr+ long walk back.

I always felt the mid weeks had a bit more noise to them but maybe thats me being selective and only remembering the good midweek games.

Aye it's probably just time playing tricks on the memory. Looking back there was some horrific midweek games atmosphere wise. Cambridge at home with 13k there. Southend at home that same season they didn't even bother opening the Leazes End that night and the season before when we played Oxford midweek the crowd was 10k. I was sat in the benches and a mate from school was stood directly opposite in the Milburn Paddocks. He shouted over at me and I could hear him [emoji38]

Derby in the ZDS Cup takes some beating, think it was 89/90. There were only about 6k there, freezing cold, and final kick in the nuts was it ending up going into extra time.

I'll take your Zenith Data Cup match and raise you the Anglo Italian Cuo match v Cesena where I was one of the 4,000 crowd.

There was a cat walking around the Strawberry Corner during the 2nd half [emoji38]
