Like I have said, the current season ticket holders won’t give a fuck about the consequences of staying until their season tickets go up to £1,000, £1,500, and £2,000.

Was chatting to a fella in the seat next to me a couple games back. Nice bloke, probs late 50’s

He said he pays £19 per match for his season ticket in the Leazers due to 10 year deal and he’s hoping they won’t raise it too much when it ends as that’d be pure shan

And I’m thinking, howay man, 1) I’m paying £50 to sit next to you so don’t rub it in and 2)you’ve got no chance pal, they’ll want to double their money for every game

I didn’t say owt though, didn’t want to burst his bubble

£361 for a season ticket?

I was saying nearly double that as a students in level 7 during Rafa’s reign.

That’s what he reckoned, £19 per game for a lovely spot with a great view of the pitch

Can’t imagine he’s on OAP rates, didn’t look old enough

I’m not disputing it, I’m just saying it’s unrealistic to expect ticket prices to not at least double.

I hope he’s been saving his money all this time.

Gonna be a minimum of £727, so he’ll be disappointed.

Indeedly doodly, I was surprised at how naive he seemed to be about the commercial reality of high demand / limited supply

He clearly believed the club should do him a financial favour and continue to keep his ticket price low because he’d already been on a cheap deal for a decade

As if a 15 year price freeze on a 10 year price freeze wasn’t already enough of a favour.

Some people are just so out of touch.

It would probably be sensible if the club contacted everyone still on a deal and told them their tickets would be brought in to line with the standard price in that area from next season. Limit the inevitable whinging.

I mean common sense should obviously tell you that will be the case, but clearly that’s not always in use…

Not completely against staying or leaving however those who are so vehemently against leaving should do everything they can to work towards creating a better atmosphere beforehand. Seems unlikely in this country, though.

The Metropolitano won't ever match Calderon but it's still loud, and it comes down to the fanbase.

If we go to a new stadium its highly likely they will hike both ST prices and normal match tickets too, as they know there will be a rush to buy tickets to check out the shiny new stadium and also more tickets will be available.

They have already made it a closed shop to buy matchday tickets as you need to pay £40 to get a membership first.

Aye that's the standard 1 year price now and you'd have to assume a 5% rise or thereabouts for next season so his £19 per game ticket will become a £40 per game ticket.

A lot of season ticket holders are in for an almighty shock I know that much.

Who is the supremo in charge of comms for the club?

I thought they would have hired a chief communications officer by now.

I did wish he could have seen how many millions of billions of hours of my life I’ve spent frantically hitting F5 in a tortured state of ADHD hyperfocus just so I could get the chance to pay £45+ for a ticket

Was a nice fella, but the gulf in mentality between the haves & have nots when it comes to tickets is wild

More tickets for members to not get in the ballots then.

It reminds me of that young lass who spent all her time having a go at those who had enough of Ashley, and those who left after Rafa left saying that you support the team, not the regime. On TV hugging Staveley after the takeover was announced and everything.

She turned 18, went to uni, her parents told her they couldn’t pay for her anymore so she had to pay it all herself. She went ballistic when the tickets for the Champions League were out on sale saying that she couldn’t afford it etc.

Yeah, welcome to the world of everyone else who has had to make sacrifices, often having to do without going, the same people you were mocking.

Not sure who’s being referred to, but it sounds like she was a child when she was doing that.  If so, that’s more of an issue for the daft cunts getting wound up by what she was saying rather than the child herself.

That won’t change if we move to the regularly discussed 3 options. Only the Town Moor option would have a big effect.

She was a proper cunt. She was in locked with calling the lasses who did a podcast with Wraith for leaving his podcast when he started interviewing Stephen Yaxley Lennon. She was one of the main culprits of causing division within the fanbase at the time.
