Has there ever been a more pointless post. ffs.

unfortunatly, probably hundreds.

I doubt it. Unless you count in boo boo.

You clearly have been wise enough to avoid the Luque thread for a while....

i've only posted in there once, just so i could say i had,it's the nufc chat version of game machine threads or US  tele programme threads.boring and for the kids.

you don't mean to say it's STILL going ..........

and this one is it's little brother, the arguments cover 1 page, then repeat ad infinitum

last time I looked at it, there was far too much copying and pasting going on .....

Couldn't we get this thread back on topic as HTT asked ?

Personally, I think if Kevin Keegan walked through the door tomorrow, or Alex Ferguson, or Arsene Wenger, it would lift the roof off.....

only one is possible though and i'd never right off the idea of keegan returning in some capacity.

i'd take him as a sort of director of football.decent eye for a player(but not to leave it all to him) and would anyone be better at lifting the crowd or persuading players to come here ?

  • 5 months later...

Just seen a guest reading this thread and apart from the usual 'the board is (was) ace/shit/ace/shit/ace/shit' nonsense, it's interesting to note the following:

What would it take to get the spark back?

Some options we hear repeatedly, none of which are impossible, are:

Sacking the board? Check

A takeover? Check

A good run at the start of next season? Check

A spending spree bringing in flair players to add to the squad we already have? Hmm, not quite just yet

A spending spree on defenders and midfielders? Check

A new manager? Check

Getting shot of Luque Check

Alan Shearer? Nah

A cup run? Bit early to say, but played one, won one ;)

Relegation? :giggle:

Not a bad little list, and I reckon it's worked so far. :)
