junkhead
i'm bulgarian and remember Berbatov ever since he came out.. few years ago, he was somewhat average.. scored most of his goals by tapping in from 2m or a sloppy header or a deflected miss-kicked volley.. i've never liked him tbh, because he played for rivals CSKA i was sure he was going to flop in the premier league, but he raised his game a lot.. his shooting and technique have improved and he has been a pretty consistent scorer for the last 3 seasons.. i think he'll stay at Spurs for a while
Sima
Over-rated, how !!? I think it was Tony Cascarino who wrote an article earlier in the season saying that Berbatov very rarely scores against better defences, if you look at his record for both Spurs and Bulgaria then it seems Cascarino has hit the nail on the head. Good player though but needs a better goalscorer than Defoe next to him. Yep, Im sure his goals have mainly been against poor teams this season. He does have a problem scoring away from home aswell. He's got a great first touch but he does lack pace Just slammed both those theories tbh.

Guest Deep456
As if he would go to Newcastle. Sideways step. If he leaves Spurs it will be for a really top club. Not true at all. Newcastle are better than spurs it's just injuries let us down. We would be in top 5 challenging for top 4 at this present time if our injuries were not so herendous this season. Also if we get a top manager we would be a top club.

Not sure if Newcastle are better than Spurs? Pound for pound, injury free Owen - Berbatov - Tie Martin - Keane - Tie Zog/Duff - Malbranque - Malbranque Parker/Butt - Zokora - Parker/Butt Dyer/Emre - Taimu - Dyer/Emre Milner - Lennon - Lennon Babayaro - Lee - Lee Bramble - Dawson - Bramble King - Taylor - King Solano - Chimpbonda - Tie Given - Robinson - Given 4 - 4, tie. But Spurs have much better youngsters, and a better manager

I always wonder why people seem to be obsessed to judge strikers just by goals. I wouldn't see Berbatov as just a "goalgetter". His game isn't just about goals but rather about his movement and his touches. I haven't seen a lot from him at Spurs, but here in Germany he had always a fair amount of assists. I remember him scoring a lot of goals in the CL against bigger teams though...

Guest kingdawson
emre <<<jenas f****** idiot Emre is supposed to be a creative midfielder yet he hardly creates or scores. Jenas may not be as 'flashy' as him but he's way more productive.

Dr. Nguyen Van Falk
martins<<<berbatov Why? They both have scored 16 goals this season (hasn't Berbatov been scoring alot against poor teams also?) Martins is younger, works harder, faster, double footed, has a better leap than Berbatov and this is his first season of getting competitive football. Can't see how you can say Berbatov is better. Maybe equal too but not better...
