If Sunderland come up and have a stonking first season after the Peg Sellers takeover do you think it will get the fans back up and make Freddy's life more of a living hell to the point where he sells or he gets his fat fucking arse into gear?

It seems like he's lolled about the past few years doing nothing groundbreaking with very little pressure on him but if all of a sudden Sunderland are putting together a squad capable of winning trophies it may highlight the shite job he's doing here.

Nothing is happening until the golden boy is ready.  If that sees the mackems overtake us, then so be it.

Can never see Shearer taking the helm with Shepherd in charge personally.

never gonna happen

Not in the near future, no.

But if Sunderland come up, pull a Reading - maybe even get into Europe*, and we're still falling behind in 11th and below, Icke's point still stands.

*They'll probably have some money to spend and, even though it's Sunderland, it can happen. We've seen it before.

If next season they are performing like Reading and at the end of next season they are close to European football and we are 11-12th playing the same crap football under Roeder then the fat pig might decide to take some radical changes

I read a rather extensive article / interview with Roy Keane in the Guardian.co.uk the other day, and he seems like he's doing a good job moving the club forward. I was actually really impressed with what he said and what he was doing. Although it remains to be seen whether or not the club they have can perform in the Premiership, I don't think it's a huge stretch to think that they could finish above us next year. They have a coach with a vision, who the players respect. We have Roeder and a demoralized, injury-prone squad.

wont make a shred of difference to us bar the fact one team will be finishing higher than us.

The lack of fight and interest in the majority of our team would treat the derby like a friendly, Roeder certainly would be able to fire them up, until half time at least. Then if we dont score in the first 10 mins of the second half its back to being uninterested.
