Leazes1986
Whats the best performance you've ever seen by a toon player on their debuts? I'll have a think for mine.
Guest johnson293
Probably have to be Mick Quinn. Thought he was an overweight jailbird when we signed him (which he was in fairness!), but first day of the 89/90 season, he sticks 4 of the 5 past Leeds, who were the big spending favourites for the 2nd divison at the time. Skirge
I loved Tinos against Boro Was my first choice, but still thinking of othters.. I remember jet lagged Tino, straight off the plane and straight onto the bench.

geordie_b
Remember Ginolas first game and he did a cross field pass from left to right, never seen anything like it and knew we were in for something special. Also recall a Robert freekick against Bilbao which me me think 'fuck he can hit a football', obviously the rest is history......
AyeDubbleYoo
Olivier Bernard looked amazing when I first saw him, came on as a sub in a European game I think - looked quick and strong. Don't know if it actually was his debut though.

Leazes1986
What about Tim Krul ?? Great shout. Definitely the best goalkeeper debut i've seen for us. Wasn't Harpers debut against the Smogs? Could be wrong, but he had a blinder that neet.

Leazes1986
Woodgate against Chelsea at home. I was thinking about that one as well. I remember him making a brilliant sliding tackle in the box early on. It was the first time i could remember seeing such a cool head on a Newcastle defender. Shame we couldn't have brought him back really, i bet Allardyce's training methods would keep him in best shape possible.

Guest johnson293
Tim Krul had the best I've seen in recent times. I'd forgotten about Krul TBH, but I'd stick with Quinny's for shear impact - and I was there.
