Probably have to be Mick Quinn.

Thought he was an overweight jailbird when we signed him (which he was in fairness!), but first day of the 89/90 season, he sticks 4 of the 5 past Leeds, who were the big spending favourites for the 2nd divison at the time.

Remember Ginolas first game and he did a cross field pass from left to right, never seen anything like it and knew we were in for something special. Also recall a Robert freekick against Bilbao which me me think 'fuck he can hit a football', obviously the rest is history......

Woodgate against Chelsea at home.

I was thinking about that one as well. I remember him making a brilliant sliding tackle in the box early on. It was the first time i could remember seeing such a cool head on a Newcastle defender. Shame we couldn't have brought him back really, i bet Allardyce's training methods would keep him in best shape possible.

Good shout, an amazing last ditch challenge on JFH IIRC. 8 out of 10 performance that day.

Tim Krul had the best I've seen in recent times.

I'd forgotten about Krul TBH, but I'd stick with Quinny's for shear impact - and I was there.
