Good stuff. Still hoping we'll flash the cash a bit this summer but can't fault the dealings so far.

Well I welcomed Geremi as a good player to use at either right back or defensive midfield but I'm pretty sure you said he wouldn't be much use in either position. Where do you see him playing then?

I wouldn't have him anywhere as a starter, good squad player though. He can play either of those positions up to a point, but I see him first and foremost as a right winger. Dyer can't cross to save his life, Solano's getting on and Milner might well suffer fatigue given the amount of games he's played, so he'll be useful cover there.

It's not a question I usually like to ask as there are many right backs out there and it's the scouts' jobs to find them but out of curiosity, who would you rather bring in for the right back position? And other than perhaps Micah Richards who is unrealistic, can you name a better right back outside last season's top 4?

He scored a peach of a freekick last season, cant remember who against.

West Ham I think. Scored an absolutely lush chip against Leeds for Middlesbrough from about 30 yards too, can't find a clip though.

Well, he's primarily a right winger and has played most of his Premiership games there. Are you asking whether I'd start him ahead of Milner? Possibly, depends how Milner starts the season.

I'm not sure, we've already got a right winger being played out of position who can do a job there, I don't see why another should replace him. I'd like a specialist right back, not someone shoehorned in for 15 games at Chelsea when there was nobody else. Geremi'll get found out defensively over the course of a season imo.

He's a better winger than Milner IMO, however I don't see us using them so I'm not sure where he'd fit in, if he has been brought in as first choice right back then it reminds me of when we took the cheap option and bought Carr, that's not saying the lad can't do a job there but he looks alot better going forwards than he does defending, and he'll be doing alot more defending here than he ever did at Chelsea.

Yep, agree with all of that.

No I asked whether you saw him as cover for Milner if he suffered from 'fatigue' as you put it. Don't get me wong, I like Milner, but I would be seriously amazed if we were putting so much effort into signing cover for a tired Milner.

Milner is fucking appauling. Really don't see what he brings to the team at all. I don't hate the kid for no reason, I was quite excited when he signed, as he came with a good rep from Leeds fans. He can't cross, he has good a good shot on him, fair play, it takes him 3 attempts to skin a man. He stood out because of how shite we were last year, he's not even remotely close to Geremi's class.
