Lloydie
I remember when he was signed Shepherd said something about the contract making allowances for possible outcomes of Barton's case. I'd guess we're not paying him if he goes down.
Wullie
Hope he gets jailed until his foot heals fully. That'll learn him.

Nicky
Can't see how he can really deny it. Its not like there was no witnesses or no injurys. Meh
The Bonk
Can't see how he can really deny it. Its not like there was no witnesses or no injurys. Guest BooBoo
No chance whatsoever of a custodial sentence. Compensation and a community punishment are more likely.

Sparks
Well it certainly has to be more than the community service some people were suggesting in this thread I would have thought. This is an assault charge not affray.
James
To be honest, if the allegations are true and Barton is denying it, someone at the club needs to make Barton see sense. There were countless witnesses against him, so unless there is something that wasn't reported in the press that really gets Barton off, he'd be much better pleading guilty, and taking top quality remorse coaching from his well paid lawyers. Guest zerocipher
It's most likely being denied because the story that the police have isn't the whole thing. Who knows if he was provoked etc
